Is the graffiti workshop safe for individuals with respiratory sensitivities?

Absolutely! We use high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary protective gear, including gloves and masks. Our Bloemfontein facilitators are trained to supervise participants with various needs, ensuring everyone stays safe while having a blast. We also choose outdoor or well-ventilated locations to ensure a comfortable breathing environment for everyone involved throughout the creative process.

Do participants need to have any previous artistic skills?

No prior art experience is needed at all! Our Special Needs Program is designed to be accessible for everyone, regardless of their artistic background. Our professional artists use simple, step-by-step techniques that allow even total beginners to create something they are proud of. We focus on the joy of expression and the physical experience of painting rather than technical perfection.

How long does a typical special needs workshop last?

Our workshops in Bloemfontein are highly flexible. A typical session lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, but we can easily shorten or extend this based on the attention spans and energy levels of the group. We prioritize a relaxed pace so that nobody feels rushed or overwhelmed, allowing for plenty of breaks if needed.

Can you host the workshop at our own facility in Bloemfontein?

Yes, we can! While we have fantastic partner locations in Bloemfontein, we are also happy to bring the workshop to your specific facility, school, or community centre. As long as there is a suitable outdoor space or a very well-ventilated indoor area with wall space or boards, we can set up our mobile studio there to make things easier for your group.

How much individual attention will each participant receive?

We maintain a very low participant-to-artist ratio for our Special Needs Program. This ensures that every individual receives the personalized attention and encouragement they need. Our artists are patient, friendly, and experienced in adapting their communication styles to meet the unique requirements of each guest, making sure everyone feels included and supported.

What should participants wear to the session?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'old' clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective aprons and gear, graffiti can be a messy business! In the Bloemfontein sun, a hat and sunscreen are also a good idea if we are working outdoors. We provide everything else, including the paint, caps, and canvases.
