How long does a live painting session usually take?

A live painting performance in Bloemfontein typically spans 2 to 4 hours, depending on the scale of the artwork and your event timeline. We can adjust the pace to match your schedule, ensuring the piece reaches its climax during your event's peak moments. For larger murals or complex brand activations, we can also arrange multi-day performances to keep the energy high throughout the entire festival.

Is the paint smell or mess an issue for indoor events?

Not at all! We use low-odour professional spray paint and high-quality acrylic markers that are suitable for various environments. If your event is indoors, we ensure proper ventilation or use water-based spray paints that don't leave a heavy scent. We also set up protective flooring and screens to keep the surrounding area perfectly clean while the artist works their magic.

What happens to the artwork once the event is over?

The best part is that the final artwork belongs to you! Many of our Bloemfontein clients choose to display the canvas in their office reception, auction it off for charity, or give it away as a unique prize. It serves as a lasting memory of the energy and creativity of your specific event. We can even provide a transportable frame for easy relocation.

Can the performance take place at any venue in Bloemfontein?

We are incredibly flexible with locations. Whether you are hosting a corporate gala at a hotel in Westdene or an outdoor festival near Naval Hill, we can set up almost anywhere. All we need is a flat surface for our easel or board and a bit of space for the artist to move. We bring all our own dropsheets and protective gear.

Is there an option for guests to participate in the painting?

Yes, we love it when guests get involved! While the main performance is done by our professional artist, we can set up a 'community section' where your guests can add their own small tags or splashes of colour under the artist's guidance. This is a fantastic way to make your brand activation or wedding even more interactive and memorable for everyone attending.

What safety measures do you have in place for live events?

Safety is our number one priority. All our Bloemfontein artists are trained in workshop safety and the proper use of materials. We provide masks and gloves if needed and use flame-retardant canvases. Our setups are sturdy and designed to be safe in high-traffic event areas, ensuring that your guests can enjoy the spectacle without any risks or worries.

Local culture

Bloemfontein has a soul that blends heritage with an emerging underground art scene. From the historic aesthetics of Grant's Hill to the modern vibes of the Loch Logan area, the city is a canvas waiting to be explored. Our live painting performances tap into this local spirit, often incorporating motifs that resonate with the "Free State" lifestyle. We understand the local culture and the importance of community. By bringing street art into professional event spaces, we bridge the gap between traditional Bloemfontein hospitality and contemporary urban expression, making our live painting a perfect fit for the city's diverse social calendar.
