Is the workshop safe for individuals with respiratory sensitivities?

Absolutely! We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality, comfortable FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one breathes in paint fumes, along with protective overalls and gloves to keep clothes clean. Our instructors are trained to supervise the use of spray cans closely, ensuring a controlled environment where everyone can focus on having fun and being creative without any risks.

Where in Nyíregyháza do these workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether it is a community centre in the heart of Nyíregyháza, a local park, or your own facility, we can bring the workshop to you. We just need a well-ventilated outdoor space or a large indoor area with high ceilings and proper airflow. If you don't have a venue, let us know, and we can help find a suitable local spot!

Do participants need to have any artistic skills beforehand?

Not at all! Our special needs programs are designed to be 'process-oriented' rather than 'result-oriented.' This means we celebrate the act of painting and the sensory experience of using the spray cans. Our professional artists are there to guide every hand, helping participants create shapes, splatters, and patterns that look amazing regardless of their previous artistic experience. Everyone leaves feeling like a pro!

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard workshops for special needs groups usually last between 1.5 to 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement and energy without causing fatigue. However, we can easily shorten or lengthen the session based on the specific needs and attention spans of your group. We work at your pace, never rushing the creative process.

What is the ideal group size for a special needs workshop?

We recommend a minimum of 5 to 10 participants to create a lively atmosphere, but we can accommodate much larger groups too. For larger bookings, we bring along extra 'backup artists' to ensure that every participant gets the individual attention and support they deserve. This ensures the workshop remains calm, person-centred, and inclusive for everyone involved.

What should participants wear on the day?

We suggest wearing comfortable, older clothes and closed-toe shoes. While we provide full-body protective overalls, graffiti can be a bit messy, and it is always better to be safe! If the workshop is outdoors near Sóstó or downtown, please dress according to the weather. We provide everything else, including the paint, boards, and safety equipment.

How do we book and do we need to pay in advance?

Booking is simple! You can use our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate, or just send us a message through our contact form. We don’t require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is complete. This gives you peace of mind and flexibility. We’ll chat with you beforehand to understand the specific needs of your group.

The experience

Our workshops are more than just a painting class; they are a therapeutic and empowering experience designed specifically for the special needs community in Nyíregyháza. Here is why our program stands out:

Sensory Engagement: The sound of the can, the feel of the spray, and the visual pop of colour provide a rich sensory experience. 🌈
Confidence Building: Seeing an immediate, large-scale result helps participants feel a massive sense of achievement.
Professional Guidance: Our artists are not just talented painters; they are patient, encouraging mentors who love sharing their craft. 🎤
Full Accessibility: We adapt our techniques—using stencils, adaptive caps, or collaborative painting—to suit every individual's motor skills.
Stress-Free Planning: With no upfront payment and all materials provided, we make the organising process as easy as possible for you.
Joyful Interaction: It’s a fantastic way to foster social connection and have a genuine laugh in a non-judgmental space. 🎉

Step by step

Warm welcome: Our friendly artists meet the group and introduce the vibrant world of street art in an easy-going way.
Safety first: We help everyone put on their protective gear, including masks and suits, making it a fun 'transformation' moment.
The blank canvas: Participants are introduced to the workspace—either a large shared wall or individual canvases.
First sprays: We demonstrate how to hold the can and press the nozzle, letting everyone try out 'free spraying' to get used to the feel.
Shape and colour: Artists guide participants in choosing their favourite colours and creating basic shapes or tags.
Creative flow: This is the main event! Everyone works on their piece, with our artists providing as much or as little help as needed.
Stencil fun: We often use custom stencils to help participants add cool details and sharp edges to their work easily.
The big reveal: We step back to admire the collective masterpiece and take group photos to remember the day.
Tidying up: We handle all the cleanup, leaving you with nothing but great memories and colourful artwork!

Local culture

Nyíregyháza is a city that celebrates community and spirit, from the bustling life around Kossuth Square to the serene beauty of Sóstó. While our city is famous for its incredible zoo and healing waters, we are also seeing a growing appreciation for urban culture and inclusive community events. Bringing a graffiti workshop here adds a modern, vibrant spark to our local social programs.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Nyíregyháza is often called the "City of Statues"? While we love the bronze figures scattered around town, we think adding some temporary, spray-painted colour to the mix is a fantastic way to celebrate the diverse voices of our residents! 🎨
