Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students who join us have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created. It’s all about having fun and being creative, not about being a 'pro' on day one!

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need for the ultimate street art experience. This includes premium spray paint in a huge variety of colours, high-quality caps (nozzles), protective overalls, gloves, and high-standard respiratory masks. We also provide the canvases or temporary walls for your creations. If you're booking for a large university event in Nyiregyhaza, we handle all the logistics so you can just turn up and spray!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with gloves and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially equipped indoor spaces. Our instructors are experienced professionals who supervise the entire process to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all students and faculty members.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our standard university workshops typically range from 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives you enough time to learn the history of graffiti, practice your technique, and complete a final piece. If you're planning a shorter 'drop-in' session for a university festival or a longer intensive masterclass, we can easily customise the duration to fit your event schedule perfectly. Just let us know what works for you!

What is the maximum group size for a session?

Flexibility is key at Graffitifun. For smaller student groups or clubs, we can host as few as 10 people. For major university events, campus festivals, or freshmen weeks in Nyiregyhaza, we can accommodate groups of 100 or more with multiple artists on-site. We have a backup roster of artists ready to go, ensuring that even large-scale events run smoothly without any cancellations.

How does the payment process work for universities?

No upfront payment is required! We believe in the quality of our service, so you can pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied. We offer various payment methods, including bank transfers, which are usually the easiest for university administration and student unions. We aim to make the administrative part as hassle-free as possible so you can focus on the art!

Where do the workshops usually take place?

Ideally, we need a flat, outdoor area with good ventilation. Many university campuses in Nyiregyhaza have perfect courtyards or parking areas for this. If you don't have a specific spot in mind, let us know! We can often help find a suitable local location or bring mobile graffiti walls to your specific site. We just need a bit of space to set up our protective sheeting and easels.

Epic Content: Your social media feed will thank you—graffiti sessions are 100% Instagram and TikTok gold. 📸
Team Spirit: Nothing brings a student society together like collaborating on a massive mural.
Professional Pros: Learn from real artists who live and breathe street culture. 💪
Zero Risk: With our "no cancellation" guarantee and pay-later policy, your student union budget is in safe hands.
Customisable: We can incorporate your uni mascot, colours, or society logo into the design! 🏆

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: Meet your pro artist and get kitted out in protective gear. We’ll go over the safety basics and the 'graffiti code' of ethics.
The History Lesson: A quick, high-energy briefing on how street art evolved from NYC subways to global galleries.
Initial Sketches: Grab a marker! You'll sketch your ideas on paper first, fine-tuning your tags or "pieces" before hitting the wall.
Can Control: Learn the 'mists' and 'lines'. We’ll show you how distance, speed, and pressure change your spray patterns.
Outline & Fill: Start on the real thing! You'll apply your base colours and learn how to fill large areas without drips.
Shadows & 3D: This is where the magic happens. We’ll teach you how to add depth and dimension to make your letters pop.
Highlights & Outlines: Add the 'powerline' and sharp highlights to give your artwork that professional, finished look.
The Big Reveal: Step back and admire the collective masterpiece with your fellow students. It's the perfect photo op!

Local culture

Nyiregyhaza might be famous for its incredible Sóstó Zoo and the relaxing thermal baths, but there's a growing urban heartbeat underneath the surface. The student scene here is vibrant, fueled by the energy of the University of Nyiregyhaza, and we're here to add some serious colour to that academic life. From the leafy streets of the city centre to the bustling campus areas, there's always room for more creative expression!

Fun Fact: While Nyiregyhaza is known for its green spaces, the local creative community is thriving. Street art is starting to pop up in unexpected places, bridging the gap between the city's traditional history and its modern, youthful future. 🌳🔥
