Do I need prior experience with graffiti to take this training?

No previous experience with spray cans is required. Our street art training is designed to take you from the absolute basics to confident execution. We focus on teaching you the techniques in a way that you can easily pass on to your students, regardless of your personal artistic background. We provide a supportive, low-pressure environment where you can experiment and learn at your own pace alongside other educators.

Is graffiti art safe for students to practice in a school setting?

We take health and safety very seriously, especially for school-aged participants. During the training, we cover the use of low-pressure cans, water-based spray paints which are safer for indoor/classroom use, and the mandatory use of high-quality respiratory masks and gloves. You will learn how to set up a safe outdoor or well-ventilated workspace for your students that complies with all standard health regulations.

Will I receive materials to help me teach this in my own classroom?

Absolutely. We provide a comprehensive curriculum guide that helps you link graffiti to art history, typography, colour theory, and social studies. You will learn how to structure a lesson plan that moves from sketching and conceptual design to the final execution. We also include tips on 'legal walls' and the ethics of street art to ensure students understand the difference between art and vandalism.

How long does a professional development session usually last?

The training typically lasts between 3 and 5 hours, depending on the level of detail you require. This includes a theoretical session, a practical demonstration, and a hands-on 'free-style' session where you create your own piece. We can also provide follow-up sessions or advanced masterclasses if you and your colleagues want to dive deeper into specific stencil or mural techniques.

What materials are included in the teacher training package?

We provide everything! Your session includes premium spray paint, high-quality masks, protective gloves, coveralls, and specialized caps (nozzles). We also provide the 'canvas'—which could be a temporary wall, wooden panels, or a designated legal space in Brno. You just need to wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dusty, and bring plenty of creative energy!

Can you host the training session directly at our school?

Yes, we offer flexible training options. While we have great locations in Brno, we can also bring the workshop to your school or community centre if you have a suitable outdoor space. This is often helpful as it allows us to assess your specific environment and show you exactly where and how your future classes could be safely conducted on your own grounds.

What happens if we need to cancel or if the weather is bad?

We understand that school budgets and professional development schedules can change. One of the perks of working with us is that we don't require an upfront payment. You can pay after the workshop is successfully completed. Additionally, we have a network of backup artists in the South Moravia region to ensure that your training session happens even if an instructor falls ill.

Local culture

Brno isn't just the second-largest city in the Czech Republic; it's a massive hub for students and alternative culture. From the legal walls near the Vlhká street area to the creative energy of the Cejl district, the city is a living gallery. We tap into this local 'Brno vibe' by showing you how street art has shaped the city's modern identity. Our workshops often take place in locations that reflect this industrial-meets-intellectual atmosphere. We don't just teach you how to paint; we teach you how to see Brno through the eyes of an artist, helping you connect your students to the local urban environment in a meaningful, respectful, and highly creative way.

Pricing

Our professional development sessions are priced competitively to suit school budgets and department funds. Prices generally range from Kč600 to Kč1300 per person, depending on the duration of the training and the materials required.

We believe in transparency and flexibility, which is why we offer a 'pay-afterwards' policy to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the experience. Because every school and community group has different requirements, we recommend getting in touch for a bespoke arrangement.
