Do I need to be a talented artist to take part in this training?

Absolutely not! This training is designed for educators of all artistic levels. Whether you are a seasoned painter or someone who can barely draw a stick figure, our professional artists will teach you the fundamental techniques of can control, scaling, and lettering. We focus on the process and the 'how-to' so you can confidently pass those skills on to your students, regardless of your personal artistic background.

Is the spray paint safe to use in a school environment?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves, masks, and overalls. We also teach you exactly how to set up a safe workspace for your students, covering ventilation, proper spray techniques, and material storage. By the end of the session, you'll have a solid safety protocol that you can implement in any school or community setting in Ceske Budejovice.

Where does the professional development session take place?

We are extremely flexible! We can host the training at our local graffiti spots in Ceske Budejovice, or we can bring the entire setup to your school or studio. If we come to you, we use mobile wooden walls or large cellophane canvases to ensure there is no mess left behind. This flexibility allows you to learn in the exact environment where you'll be teaching your students later.

How long is the training session?

A standard teacher training session lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice basic spray techniques, work on a collaborative piece, and discuss the pedagogical applications for your classroom. If you need a more intensive full-day masterclass, we can certainly arrange that to dive deeper into advanced stencil work and mural planning.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to get started. This includes a wide variety of professional spray paint colours, various nozzles (caps) for different line widths, protective clothing, and the surfaces we’ll be painting on. We also provide educational handouts and digital resources that you can use as a reference when you start leading your own graffiti workshops with your students. Just bring your enthusiasm!

What are the educational benefits of bringing graffiti into the classroom?

Street art is a fantastic tool for engaging 'hard-to-reach' students. It promotes fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and collaborative problem-solving. Beyond the physical act of painting, it opens up discussions about public space, law, and modern art history. Many teachers find that graffiti projects significantly boost student confidence and provide a sense of ownership over their creative work that traditional mediums sometimes lack.

How do I book a session for my department?

Booking is simple! You can use our online cost calculator to get a rough estimate, or send us a direct inquiry through our contact form. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we can almost always accommodate your preferred date. Once we've agreed on the details, you don't even need to pay upfront—you can settle the payment after the training is complete and you're 100% satisfied.

Local culture

Ceske Budejovice might be famous for its historic Premysl Otakar II Square and world-class brewing traditions, but beneath the surface lies a growing appreciation for contemporary urban art. We love bringing our workshops to this South Bohemian gem, where the contrast between gothic architecture and modern street art creates a unique creative energy. From the riverside pathways to protected creative zones, the city offers a fantastic backdrop for educators to explore new artistic boundaries. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that the precise layout of Ceske Budejovice’s historic centre was planned in the 13th century? This sense of "spatial planning" is exactly what we teach when helping you scale small sketches into massive murals! 🏰
