Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! Most participants in our České Budějovice youth workshops have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics, from how to hold the can to mastering pressure control. We create a supportive, non-intimidating environment where everyone feels comfortable experimenting. By the end of the session, even the most hesitant beginners are usually amazed by the vibrant street art they've managed to create.

Is it safe for young people to use spray paint?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep everyone safe and clean. Our instructors are experienced professionals who provide a thorough safety briefing before any paint is sprayed. We use low-pressure cans that are easier to handle for younger artists, and we always work in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces to ensure a healthy environment for all participants.

What equipment do we need to provide?

Graffitifun provides everything! Your group just needs to show up in clothes they don't mind getting a little messy (just in case). We bring the premium spray paint in a huge range of colours, caps/nozzles, protective gear, and the surfaces for painting. Whether we are working on a collaborative mural or individual canvases, we handle the logistics so the youth leaders can focus on enjoying the day with their group.

How long does a typical youth workshop last?

Our standard youth project workshops in České Budějovice typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus. We start with a brief history and technique demo, move into practice sessions, and finish with a grand finale project. If you have a specific schedule to meet, we can easily tailor the timing to fit your morning or afternoon programme.

What is the maximum group size for a youth project?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you are a small scout troop of 10 or a large youth organisation with 50+ members, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we bring in additional backup artist-coaches to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and hands-on time with the paint. We pride ourselves on never cancelling, thanks to our large network of professional street artists across the region.

How does the payment process work?

You don't need to pay anything upfront! We believe in the quality of our workshops, so you only pay after the event has successfully taken place. This makes the administrative process much easier for youth clubs and non-profits. After the session, we'll send over the invoice for the agreed amount. It's all about making the experience as stress-free and fun as possible for the organisers.

Can you host the workshop at our own youth centre?

We can! While we have several 'legal' walls and creative spaces we use around České Budějovice, we are also mobile. If your youth centre has a suitable outdoor space or a wall you have permission to paint, we can bring the entire workshop to you. We'll just need to check a few details about the surface and ventilation beforehand to make sure it's a safe and legal spot for the kids to paint.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth project? It’s more than just painting a wall—it’s an experience that sticks. Here’s why it works so well for young people in České Budějovice:

Total Inclusivity: You don't need to be "good at drawing" to create something epic with spray paint. It’s a great equaliser! 🤝
Boosts Confidence: Seeing a 2-metre tall masterpiece you helped create provides an instant (and well-deserved) ego boost. 💪
Team Spirit: Our collaborative murals require communication and cooperation, turning a group of individuals into a unified team.
Authentic Mentors: Our artists aren't stuffy teachers—they are real-world creators who speak the language of street culture. 🎤
Zero Risk, High Reward: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artists, your event planning is totally stress-free.

Step by step

Intro & History: We kick things off with a high-energy intro, sharing the cool history of street art and how it evolved from subculture to global art form.
Safety First: Everyone gets geared up in their protective suits, masks, and gloves while we go over the 'rules of the road' for safe spraying.
Can Control: Our artists demonstrate the basics—how to make thin lines, fat drips, and smooth fills by adjusting hand speed and distance.
The Sketching Phase: Participants grab markers and paper to plan their 'tag' or design, getting their creative ideas down before hitting the wall.
Practice Runs: We let the group loose on a practice surface, helping them get a feel for the pressure and flow of the spray paint.
The Main Event: Whether it's a huge collaborative mural or individual pieces, the group starts the real work, layering colours and adding details.
The Outline & Pop: We teach the secret to making graffiti 'look real'—the final sharp outlines and highlights that make the art jump off the surface.
The Big Reveal: We finish with a group photo in front of the finished masterpiece, celebrating the hard work and unique style of every participant!

Local culture

České Budějovice is world-famous for its beer, but there is a rising tide of street art culture flowing through this South Bohemian gem. While the city centre is a masterpiece of Gothic and Baroque architecture, the modern youth scene is looking for new ways to express itself. We love working here because the contrast between the historic Přemysl Otakar II Square and the raw energy of a fresh graffiti mural creates such a unique local vibe. 🎨

Fun Fact: While the city is over 750 years old, it hosts a vibrant student population that keeps the creative spirit alive, making it the perfect backdrop for contemporary youth projects!

From the banks of the Vltava to the edges of the Šumava forest, we bring the urban art experience to where the youth are. Our workshops help bridge the gap between traditional Czech culture and the global language of street art.

Pricing

We believe in transparent pricing and high value for youth organisations. Our rates for youth projects in České Budějovice typically range from:

Kč600 – Kč1300 per person

The final price depends on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the amount of materials required (such as large-scale murals vs. small canvases). We don't require any payment until after the workshop is complete, giving you total peace of mind! 💸

Got a specific budget for your youth group? Let’s talk! We love finding ways to make street art accessible to everyone.
