Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the training?

Absolutely not! Our Art Teacher Training in Plzen is designed for all skill levels. Whether you are a fine arts master or someone who hasn't picked up a spray can since school, our professional artists will guide you through the basics. We focus on teaching you the 'how-to' so you can confidently demonstrate these techniques to your students later on. It’s all about building your pedagogical confidence.

Is the spray paint safe for use in a school setting?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respirators, gloves, and protective suits for all participants. During the workshop, we’ll also teach you how to set up a safe 'spraying zone' in a school environment, including proper ventilation tips and how to manage students with different health needs. You'll leave feeling fully equipped to run a safe, professional street art session in your own classroom.

Will I receive materials to use in my classroom?

Yes! One of the core takeaways of our Plzen professional development sessions is learning how to connect graffiti to the standard Czech art curriculum. We cover topics like colour theory, typography, art history (from cave paintings to modern murals), and social justice. You will receive a digital resource pack filled with lesson plans and project ideas that you can implement immediately in your lessons.

How long does a professional development workshop last?

A standard teacher training session in Plzen typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' to cover the essential theory, get hands-on practice with the cans, and have a Q&A session about classroom management. If you have a larger department or want a more deep-dive 'Masterclass' experience, we can easily extend the duration to suit your specific professional development goals.

Where in Plzen do the training sessions take place?

We can be flexible! We often host these sessions at legendary local street art spots in Plzen to give you the full authentic experience. However, if your school has a suitable outdoor wall or a well-ventilated space, our artists can come directly to your campus. This is often a great way to assess your own school’s facilities for future student workshops. Just let us know your preference when booking.

What is the booking policy for schools and teachers?

We understand that school budgets and schedules can be tricky. That’s why we offer a 'no upfront payment' policy. You can book your training date today to secure your spot and pay via invoice or on the day of the workshop. We also have a network of backup artists available, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation ruining your professional development day.

Do you cover the legal aspects of graffiti?

While our primary focus is on the art and technique, we do touch upon the legalities of street art. We teach you how to explain the difference between 'vandalism' and 'street art' to your students. We focus on 'Permission Walls' and community projects, showing you how to channel your students' energy into legal, constructive, and beautiful public art projects that the whole of Plzen can enjoy.
