Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

Absolutely! While some background in art or education is helpful, our Chelyabinsk training is designed to build your skills from the ground up. We cover everything from basic spray can control to advanced curriculum design. Our professional artists will mentor you through the technical hurdles, ensuring you feel confident leading a classroom by the time the course concludes. It is all about your passion for street art and teaching!

How long does the training process take?

Our standard professional development sessions in Chelyabinsk typically span a full weekend or several evening sessions, totalling about 10 to 15 hours of intensive instruction. We also offer fast-track one-day workshops for those looking for a quick introductory 'crash course.' We can easily customise the schedule to fit your school’s professional development calendar or your personal availability. Just let us know what works best for you!

What safety equipment is provided during the workshop?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, nitrile gloves, and protective overalls to all participants. During the training, we teach you how to manage a classroom safely, including proper ventilation techniques and how to handle materials responsibly with younger students. You will leave the workshop with a full safety checklist to use in your own future lessons across Chelyabinsk.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the programme?

Yes! Upon successful completion of the Graffitifun Teacher Training, you will receive a digital certificate of completion. This certificate validates your participation in our professional development programme and serves as proof of your newly acquired skills in street art pedagogy. It is a fantastic addition to any educator's portfolio or CV, especially for those looking to introduce modern, urban art styles to their local schools.

How much of the training is practical versus theoretical?

We believe in learning by doing. The training is approximately 20% theory and 80% hands-on practice. You will spend the majority of your time with a spray can in hand, practicing on walls or canvases. We also include 'mock teaching' segments where you practice explaining techniques to others, ensuring you are prepared for the real-world dynamics of a busy classroom or youth centre environment.

What specific pedagogical skills will I learn?

We don't just teach you how to paint; we teach you how to manage! You will learn how to estimate paint quantities for large groups, how to set up a 'no-mess' outdoor or indoor workstation, and how to structure a 90-minute lesson for maximum engagement. From budget management to student cleanup routines, we cover the logistical 'behind-the-scenes' work that makes a graffiti workshop successful and stress-free.

Local culture

Chelyabinsk is a city with an incredible industrial backbone, and its urban landscape provides the perfect gritty canvas for thriving street art. From the hidden gems near the Miass River to the bold murals that brighten up the northern districts, the city is increasingly embracing urban creativity. Our art teacher training taps into this local energy, showing you how to turn the "Tankograd" concrete into a theatre of colour. We understand the specific rhythm of Chelyabinsk, from its cold winters requiring indoor alternatives to its sun-drenched summers perfect for large-scale outdoor projects.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Chelyabinsk has hosted several street art festivals where international artists transformed grey apartment blocks into massive works of art? You'll be joining a community that is actively redefining the city's visual identity!
