Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

While having a background in art or education is helpful, our Rostov-on-Don training is designed to take you from a curious educator to a confident street art instructor. We cover everything from basic can control and lettering to advanced mural composition and classroom safety. Our goal is to give you the technical skills and the pedagogical framework to teach graffiti effectively, regardless of your starting point.

How do you handle health and safety in a school setting?

Safety is our number one priority. In this training, you'll learn about proper ventilation, the correct use of respirators and gloves, and how to set up a safe 'spray zone' in a school environment. We also teach you how to manage a large group of students with spray cans to ensure everyone stays safe and focused. You will leave with a comprehensive safety checklist for your own future workshops.

Can this training help me integrate street art into the national curriculum?

Absolutely! One of the core modules of our professional development program focuses on curriculum integration. We show you how to link graffiti projects to history (the evolution of mark-making), social studies (community and public space), and even maths (scaling and proportions). We provide you with lesson plan templates that meet modern educational standards while keeping the 'cool factor' high for your students.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Standard professional development sessions in Rostov-on-Don usually run for 3 to 4 hours, which provides a solid foundation. However, we also offer intensive full-day 'masterclass' options for those who want to dive deeper into mural production and complex techniques. We are flexible and can adapt the timing to fit into your school’s inset day or professional development schedule.

What materials are included in the training package?

We provide everything! Your session includes high-quality low-pressure spray cans (which are easier for beginners to control), a variety of nozzles (caps), protective clothing, masks, gloves, and practice surfaces. We also provide digital resources and a physical handbook that you can take home as a reference guide for your future teaching career. Just wear some old clothes and comfortable shoes!

What happens if I'm not satisfied with the training?

We believe in our programme so much that we offer a 100% satisfaction focus. If you don't feel more confident and inspired to teach street art after our session, we'll work with you until you do. Plus, we don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is complete. This ensures you are completely happy with the quality of the training you received.

Local culture

Rostov-on-Don has always had a rebellious, creative spirit, stretching from the banks of the Don River to the vibrant Pushkinskaya Street. The city’s urban landscape is a canvas waiting to be interpreted, and our training draws inspiration from the local "Rostov-style" of muralism. We often discuss how the city’s unique southern light affects colour choices in public pieces. ☀️

Fun Fact: Rostov-on-Don is known for its incredible underground passages decorated with intricate mosaic tiles. We use these local landmarks as a bridge between traditional public art and modern graffiti in our training sessions! 🏛️
