Is spray painting safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints specifically designed for ease of use. Every pupil is provided with a high-quality face mask, disposable gloves, and a protective overall to keep their school uniforms clean. Our artists are experienced in working with primary-aged children and provide constant supervision to ensure everyone follows the safety guidelines while having a blast.

Do the kids need any prior drawing skills or experience?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and accessible for children of all artistic abilities. Our instructors break down the process into simple, manageable steps—from holding the can to creating basic shapes. We focus on the 'fun' factor rather than technical perfection, ensuring every child feels proud of what they’ve created by the end of the session. It’s all about building confidence!

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of time for a safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the completion of a final masterpiece. We can also adapt the schedule to fit your school’s timetable, whether it’s a morning session or a full discovery day for multiple classes.

Where at the school does the workshop take place?

We are very flexible! We can set up outdoors against a school wall (using temporary boards), on a large playground area, or even indoors in a well-ventilated hall using protected flooring and low-pressure cans. We bring all the necessary protective coverings for the floor and surrounding areas to ensure we leave the school grounds exactly as we found them—just a bit more colourful!

What materials do we need to provide?

We’ve got it all covered! Graffitifun provides everything: professional spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps (nozzles), protective gear (overalls, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' (which could be individual boards or a large collective mural). You just need to provide the space and the enthusiastic students! We even handle the setup and the intensive cleanup afterwards.

Can the children work together on one big mural?

You bet! One of our most popular options for primary schools is the 'Legacy Mural'. All the pupils work together under the guidance of our professional artist to create a large-scale piece of art on a permanent wall or a series of wooden panels. This creates a lasting memory for the school that students, teachers, and parents can enjoy for years to come.

How do we handle the booking and payment?

We understand that school budgets and requirements vary. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy and require no upfront deposit. You can book with peace of mind, knowing that you only pay once the creative magic has happened and you’re 100% satisfied with the experience. The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your pupils? Beyond just being the "coolest" day of the year, it offers incredible educational and social benefits that traditional art classes can't match. 🌟

Total Inclusivity: You don't need to be "good at drawing" to create something amazing with a spray can—it's a great leveller for all kids! 🤝
Boosts Confidence: Seeing a massive, colourful piece of art come to life gives students a huge sense of achievement. 💪
Physical Creativity: It’s a dynamic, active way to create art that gets kids moving and using their motor skills. 🏃‍♂️
Professional Mentorship: Our artists are real-world professionals who share their passion and career paths in the arts. 🎤
Zero Stress for Teachers: We handle EVERYTHING—from setup to the final cleanup, we've got it covered. ☕
Flexible & Safe: We use child-friendly materials and can tailor the workshop theme to your current curriculum topics! 🛡️

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We kick things off with a high-energy intro to the world of street art and a vital safety briefing to keep everyone protected.
The Art of the Tag: Students learn the history of 'tags' and start sketching their own unique street names on paper.
Can Control: Our artists demonstrate how to hold the spray can, how to control the pressure, and how to achieve different line widths.
Practice Makes Perfect: On a practice wall, the kids get their first taste of spraying, getting comfortable with the movements and the feel of the paint.
Filling & Fading: We teach the secrets of 'filling in' shapes and creating cool colour gradients or 'fades' for that professional look.
The Masterpiece: Whether on individual canvases or a giant school mural, the pupils apply their new skills to create their final piece of art.
Outlining & Highlights: The pros help the kids add those final 'pops'—sharp outlines and white highlights that make the artwork stand out.
Group Gallery: We finish with a grand reveal where students present their work, followed by a celebratory group photo.
