Is spraying graffiti safe for primary school children?

Our primary school workshops are designed with young children in mind. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier for smaller hands to operate, and we provide high-quality masks and gloves. Safety is our number one priority, so our professional artists supervise every single spray. We also ensure the environment is well-ventilated or outdoors, making it a completely safe and exhilarating creative experience for the kids.

Won't the kids get paint all over their school uniforms?

The mess stays with us! We provide protective ponchos, gloves, and shoe covers for every pupil to keep their school uniforms clean. We also use floor coverings to protect the school grounds. While we recommend kids don't wear their absolute favourite designer clothes, our setup is designed to be as 'stain-free' as possible. Usually, the only thing they come home with is a big smile and a masterpiece!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

We are incredibly flexible! A typical primary school workshop in Saint Petersburg lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, a drawing session, and plenty of time on the 'wall'. If you have a larger group or specific school timetable requirements, we can adjust the session length to fit your morning or afternoon slots perfectly.

Do the pupils need to be good at drawing or art?

Absolutely not. At Graffitifun, we believe art is for everyone. Our instructors are experts at guiding children who might feel they 'can't draw'. We use stencils, simple shapes, and easy techniques that guarantee every child walks away with something they are proud of. It’s all about boosting their confidence and letting them experiment with bright colours and bold strokes.

Where do the workshops take place in Saint Petersburg?

We can come to you! We often set up temporary wooden walls or large plastic canvases right on your school playground or in a well-ventilated sports hall. If you'd prefer to get the kids out of the classroom, we can also look into local creative spaces in Saint Petersburg. Most schools find the convenience of a playground workshop to be the best and easiest option for the kids.

What happens if the artist is sick on the day?

We are very proud of our reliability. We have a solid team of professional artists and backup experts ready to step in. This means that even if an instructor falls ill, your school workshop will still go ahead as planned. You won't have to deal with last-minute cancellations or disappointed pupils. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the fun!

How do we book and when do we have to pay?

It's easy! You don't need to pay anything upfront. Simply request a quote via our website, and we’ll discuss your group size and date. Once everything is confirmed, you only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. Our goal is 100% satisfaction, and we want to make the booking process as stress-free as possible for busy teachers and school admins.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your pupils? It's more than just spraying paint; it's about building confidence and working together! Here’s why Saint Petersburg schools love our sessions:

Boosts confidence: Seeing a giant piece of art they helped create gives kids a massive sense of achievement. 💪
Inclusive for everyone: Graffiti doesn't require "traditional" drawing skills, making it perfect for children who struggle with standard art classes.
Physical and sensory: It’s a great way to get kids moving and engaging their senses in a controlled, safe environment. 🎉
Team building: Our collaborative murals teach pupils how to communicate and work together to achieve a shared goal.
Professional vibes: We use real graffiti artists, giving the kids an authentic look into a cool, modern career path.
Zero stress: We handle everything from setup to cleanup—teachers just need to stand back and watch the magic!

Step by step

The grand introduction: Our pro graffiti artists arrive at your Saint Petersburg school and kick things off with an inspiring chat about the history of street art and urban culture.
Safety first: We kit out every student with protective gear, including gloves and masks, and explain how to use the spray cans safely and effectively.
Sketching the vision: Before touching a can, the kids grab paper and pencils to brainstorm their designs, focusing on bold letters and vibrant characters.
Can control basics: Our artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching the pupils how to create thin lines, thick fades, and cool dots using different nozzle pressures.
The master canvas: The kids move to the actual wall (or canvas), where they begin outlining their designs under the close guidance of our team.
Filling with colour: This is where the magic happens! Pupils learn how to blend colours and fill in their sketches to make their artwork pop.
Adding the details: We show them how to add 'highlights' and 'lowlights'—the secret tricks of the trade that make graffiti look 3D and professional.
The big reveal: Once the paint is dry, the whole class steps back to admire their collaborative masterpiece. It's a fantastic photo opportunity for the school newsletter!
Tidy up time: We pack up all the gear and leave your school grounds exactly as we found them, leaving behind only the incredible new artwork.

Local culture

Saint Petersburg isn't just about the Hermitage and classical architecture; it has a pulse of modern creativity hidden in its courtyards and dedicated art zones like Etaji. We bring that local "Piter" creative spirit right into your primary school, showing students that they are part of a long tradition of Russian artistic expression. Our workshops bridge the gap between the city’s historic beauty and its contemporary edge.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Saint Petersburg is home to several legal "Graffiti Walls" where local artists gather? It’s a city that truly respects the evolution of public art! 🏆

Whether your school is located near the bustling Nevsky Prospect or in the quieter residential districts, we come to you. Our instructors are familiar with the local art scene and love sharing stories of the city's most famous murals to inspire the next generation of Saint Petersburg creators.
