Is the spray paint safe for participants with sensitivities?

Absolutely! We prioritise safety above all else. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our facilitators are trained to supervise the use of spray cans closely, ensuring that everyone can express themselves in a secure and controlled environment. We also choose spacious, well-ventilated locations in Rostov-on-Don to ensure the air stays fresh while the creativity flows.

How do your artists handle different accessibility needs?

Our workshop facilitators are not just talented artists; they are empathetic individuals with experience in inclusive communication. They adapt their teaching style to the specific needs of the group, whether that involves visual demonstrations, simplified instructions, or hands-on assistance. We focus on patience and encouragement, making sure every artist feels heard and valued throughout the entire session.

Do we come to you, or do you come to us?

We are completely flexible! We can host the workshop at a variety of accessible public spaces in Rostov-on-Don, or we can bring the entire studio to your school, care centre, or community hub. As long as there is an outdoor space or a very well-ventilated indoor area with floor protection, we can set up our 'wall' and get the party started.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our Special Needs Program is designed for absolute beginners. We start with the very basics—how to hold the can and create simple lines—and build up from there. The goal isn't to create a 'perfect' masterpiece, but to enjoy the tactile and sensory experience of making art. Everyone leaves with something they are proud of.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard inclusive workshop usually runs for about 90 minutes to 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we can easily shorten or lengthen the session based on the attention spans and energy levels of your specific group. We move at your pace, never the other way around.

What is the ideal group size for this program?

We recommend a comfortable ratio to ensure everyone gets enough attention. Usually, groups of 10 to 15 are ideal, but we can cater to much larger groups by bringing in additional backup artists. This ensures that no one is left waiting for help and the atmosphere remains calm and supportive. Just let us know your numbers!

Local culture

Rostov-on-Don is a city with a soul as big as the Don River itself, and its street art scene is no different. From the vibrant murals near the embankment to the hidden gems in the historic courtyards, the city is a canvas of Southern Russian energy. We bring that same local passion to our workshops, celebrating the "Gateway to the Caucasus" through bold colours and expressive designs. Did you know? Rostov-on-Don is famous for its intricate underground pedestrian mosaics from the Soviet era—a precursor to the modern street art we love today! ✨

Fun Fact: Rostov-on-Don is often called the 'Port of Five Seas' because of its unique canal links, making it a bustling hub of diverse cultures and creative inspiration!
