Is the graffiti workshop safe for people with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for everyone. Our Samara instructors are experienced in managing groups with various needs and ensure that the environment remains calm, controlled, and safe. We use low-odour professional spray paint and can conduct workshops outdoors or in well-ventilated indoor spaces to ensure the comfort of all participants throughout the creative process.

How long does the workshop last and can we take breaks?

We are incredibly flexible with our timings. While a standard session lasts around two hours, we can easily shorten it to accommodate shorter attention spans or extend it if everyone is having a blast. We can also include more frequent breaks or 'quiet zones' if the environment becomes too stimulating. Our goal is to work at a pace that feels comfortable and rewarding for your specific group.

Do participants need any prior art experience or skills?

Not at all! Many of our participants have never held a spray can before. Our Samara artists are experts at breaking down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the joy of movement and the magic of seeing colours blend rather than technical perfection. We facilitate the process so that everyone, regardless of their artistic background, walks away with a masterpiece they are proud of.

Can you accommodate participants with physical disabilities or mobility issues?

We aim for total inclusivity. We can set up canvases at different heights for wheelchair users and choose locations with easy access. For those with limited mobility in their hands, we use specific spraying techniques and tools that require less pressure. Just let us know about any specific physical requirements when you book, and we will tailor the setup in Samara to ensure everyone can participate fully.

What should we bring or wear to the workshop?

The main thing is to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on (just in case!). We provide full protective gear, including suits, but it's always best to be prepared. Bring along some enthusiasm and your favourite ideas for colours or shapes. We'll handle everything else, from the paint and boards to the snacks and music if required!

Where in Samara do the workshops take place?

We can host the workshop at various local spots in Samara, or we can come to your facility! If you have an outdoor courtyard or a large, well-ventilated hall, we bring the entire mobile studio to you. Choosing a familiar environment can often help participants feel more at ease, and we are more than happy to travel to your school, community centre, or care home.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next group activity? Street art is a powerful tool for inclusion, offering a freedom of movement that traditional art sometimes lacks. In Samara, we’ve seen first-hand how the bold colours and physical act of spraying can boost confidence and improve fine motor skills. Here is why our program stands out:

Tailored Pace: We don't do 'one size fits all'. We adjust the tempo to match the sensory needs and focus of each individual. 🐢💪
No Pressure: There are no mistakes in graffiti—only new layers of art! This makes it a stress-free zone for everyone.
Highly Experienced Artists: Our Samara team isn't just good with a spray can; they are patient, encouraging, and great at connecting with people. 🎤
Sensory Satisfaction: From the vibrant visual feedback to the rhythmic sound of the can, it’s a full-on sensory celebration.
Physical Accessibility: We adapt our equipment and technique so that everyone, including those with limited mobility, can participate. 🏆
Social Connection: Nothing brings a group together like collaborating on a giant, colourful wall of art!

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us to discuss your group’s specific needs, interests, and any sensory or accessibility requirements.
Customised planning: Our Samara team designs a bespoke workshop plan, selecting the right materials and pace for your participants.
Arrival and welcome: We meet at the venue, introduce our friendly artists, and get everyone comfortable with the surroundings.
Gear up: Participants get fitted with their protective suits, masks, and gloves—looking like professional street artists!
Safety and basic skills: We demonstrate how the cans work in a simple, fun way, focusing on 'free spraying' and getting used to the pressure.
Creative exploration: Everyone gets their own space on the canvas to experiment with colours, shapes, and textures at their own rhythm.
Group masterpiece: We often work together on a larger central piece, encouraging social interaction and shared achievement.
The big reveal: We step back to admire the vibrant work created, taking photos of the incredible results.
Wrap up and cleanup: We handle all the tidying up, leaving you only with the memories and the beautiful artwork created by the group.

Local culture

Samara is a city that breathes creativity, from the sprawling Stalinist architecture to the modern murals lining the banks of the Volga. Our workshops draw inspiration from the city's unique position as an aerospace hub—think cosmic colours and 'out-of-this-world' designs! We love incorporating the local spirit into our work, often referencing the beautiful Samara Embankment or the iconic landmarks that make this city home.

Fun Fact: Did you know Samara was once the 'reserve capital' of the Soviet Union? Just like the city's hidden history, we love helping our participants discover the hidden talents they never knew they had! 🚀

We work closely with local community groups and care providers across the city to ensure our street art sessions are accessible to everyone, regardless of their postcode. From the vibrant streets of the Samarsky District to the quieter areas of Promyshlenny, we bring the art to you.
