Do I need to be an artist to join the workshop?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed to enjoy our workshop in Rostov-on-Don. Our professional street artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We start with the basics of can control and safety, ensuring everyone feels confident before moving on to the creative part. It’s all about having fun and expressing yourself, not about being a perfect gallery artist!

What safety measures and gear do you provide?

We prioritise your safety above all else. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and low-odour properties where possible. Before any cans are shaken, our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing to ensure everyone uses the equipment correctly and stays safe throughout the session.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Standard workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you are planning a larger cultural festival or a specific corporate event, we can adjust the duration to fit your schedule. We find this timeframe is the 'sweet spot' for staying energised and creative!

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

Rostov-on-Don't weather can be unpredictable! For outdoor events, we always keep a close eye on the forecast. If rain is expected, we can often relocate to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space with proper ventilation. Alternatively, we can reschedule the session to a better day. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event goes ahead without a hitch.

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

The great thing about our workshops is that we are flexible. We can host small private groups of 5-10 people, or huge cultural activations for hundreds of participants. Whether it’s a small gathering of friends or a massive city-wide festival, we scale our team of professional artists and materials to match your needs perfectly. Just let us know your expected numbers!

Why should we choose Graffitifun over other activities?

We believe in 'fun first' and transparency. That’s why we offer a 100% satisfaction focus. Additionally, we don’t require upfront payments for most bookings—you pay after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are completely happy with the experience we've provided. We also use interactive tools like our Cost Calculator to give you a clear, instant price estimate before you even book.

Step by step

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy introduction to the history of street art and a safety briefing to get everyone in the zone.
Meet your tools: Your lead artist will introduce the different nozzles (caps) and explain how they change the spray pattern from thin lines to fat fills.
First strokes: Grab a can and practice 'ghosting' your movements before spraying your first lines on the practice wall.
Concept sketching: Use markers or chalk to outline your vision. Whether it's a tag, a character, or a message, we'll help you refine the design.
Fill and flow: Start filling in your piece with vibrant colours, learning how to blend shades and create smooth gradients.
The outline: This is where the magic happens! We'll show you how to 'cut' your lines to make your artwork pop and look professional.
Highlighting: Add those final 'shines' and 3D shadows to give your graffiti depth and that authentic street-art feel.
The reveal: Step back, drop the cans, and admire the collective masterpiece you’ve created with your team. 🔥

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Rostov-on-Don is a city with a unique pulse—a mix of Southern warmth and industrial edge. While the city is famous for its beautiful embankments and the legendary Don, there is a growing underground appreciation for urban expression. The local scene is evolving, with more walls becoming canvases for stories that reflect the city's diverse heritage. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging participants to draw inspiration from the city's landmarks and the flowing energy of the river. 🎨

Fun fact: Rostov-on-Don is often called the "Port of Five Seas" because of its strategic waterways. Just like the river connects distant places, street art connects people from all walks of life!
