Do I need previous experience with graffiti to join the training?

No prior spray painting experience is required at all! Our Novosibirsk training is designed specifically for art teachers who may have a background in traditional media like oil or watercolour but have never touched a spray can. We start with the absolute basics of nozzle control and safety, gradually building your confidence so you can demonstrate the techniques to your students with total authority and ease.

How do you handle health and safety during the workshop?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including high-quality masks, gloves, and overalls. During the session, we’ll teach you how to set up a safe outdoor or well-ventilated indoor workspace for your students, how to manage paint storage, and how to ensure every pupil follows strict safety protocols while having the time of their lives.

Will I receive any teaching materials or lesson plans?

Absolutely. We align our training with contemporary art curriculum goals. You’ll receive a digital pack containing lesson plan templates, historical context on street art movements, and technical guides. These resources are designed to help you justify the educational value of graffiti to school boards and parents while ensuring students meet their learning objectives through a medium they actually find exciting.

How long does the teacher training session last?

The training typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on your specific needs and group size. We respect that teachers have busy schedules, so we are flexible with timings. Whether you want an intensive half-day session or a more relaxed afternoon of professional development, we can tailor the duration to fit your school's or department's calendar perfectly.

Is there a practical 'hands-on' element to the professional development?

Yes, we do! We believe the best way to learn is by doing. You’ll spend the bulk of the session with a spray can in your hand. You will practice everything from basic 'tagging' styles to complex 'pieces' and stencilling. By the end of the day, you’ll have created your own vibrant street art mural, giving you the first-hand experience needed to troubleshoot student mistakes.

Where in Novosibirsk does the training take place?

We usually come to you! We can conduct the training right on your school grounds in Novosibirsk, utilizing a brick wall, temporary wooden boards, or even large cling-film canvases. If your school doesn't have a suitable space, don't worry—we have access to dedicated street art spots across the city where we can host the session in an inspiring, authentic environment.

What is the cost for a professional development session in Novosibirsk?

The cost of our professional development sessions varies based on the number of teachers attending and the duration of the workshop. Factors like material quantities and location also play a role. Because we want to provide the best value for your specific school, we suggest requesting a custom quote. This way, we can ensure you get exactly what you need within your budget.

Local culture

Novosibirsk is far more than just the geographical centre of Russia; it's a city with a surprisingly gritty and growing street art scene. From the hidden murals near the Opera House to the vibrant displays in the Akademgorodok district, the city is a canvas waiting to be explored. We draw inspiration from the local Siberian aesthetic—bold, resilient, and deeply creative. Teaching graffiti in Novosibirsk means connecting your students to a global movement while celebrating the unique urban pulse of our own city. ❄️ 🔥
