Do I need previous graffiti experience to join the training?

No prior spray-painting experience is necessary to join our teacher training in Guangzhou. We start with the absolute basics of can control, nozzle types, and safety protocols. Our goal is to take you from a complete beginner to a confident instructor. By the end of the session, you'll have the technical skills and the pedagogical framework to lead your own successful graffiti workshop for your students.

What safety measures do you teach for school environments?

Health and safety are our top priorities, especially in an educational setting. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks and gloves. During the training, we'll teach you how to set up a safe outdoor or well-ventilated indoor workspace, how to manage group dynamics with spray cans, and how to ensure all students follow strict safety guidelines to make the creative process worry-free and professional.

How long does the professional development session last?

The training typically lasts between 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on the depth of the curriculum you choose. We offer intensive half-day sessions that cover both the 'art' and the 'teaching' aspects of graffiti. If you have a larger group of educators from your school or department, we can customise the duration to fit your professional development schedule perfectly.

Are materials included in the training package?

Absolutely! We provide all the necessary professional equipment including premium low-pressure spray cans (which are easier for beginners to control), various caps, protective clothing, masks, and practice surfaces. You just need to show up in clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on, and we will take care of everything else to ensure a seamless learning experience.

What specific graffiti techniques will I learn to teach?

We focus on versatility! You will learn various lettering styles, from 'tags' and 'throw-ups' to more complex 'pieces'. We also cover stencil techniques, colour blending, and character design. Crucially, we show you how to adapt these styles for different age groups, ensuring the curriculum you take back to your classroom is age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with modern art education standards.

How does the payment process work for schools?

We believe in the quality of our training, which is why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the skills and knowledge you've gained before any transaction occurs. If you're booking for a school or large organisation in Guangzhou, we can also handle the invoicing process to match your internal accounting requirements effortlessly.

Local culture

Guangzhou has always been a city of incredible layers—from the ancient temples of the Liwan District to the futuristic skyline of Zhujiang New Town. This same "old meets new" energy is exactly what makes the local street art scene so special. While the city is modernising at lighting speed, areas like the Redtory Art District (Redtory Design and Art District) have historically paved the way for creative expression, blending industrial history with modern murals. 🎉

In Guangzhou, graffiti isn't just about rebellion; it's about the "Southern China" identity. By training as a graffiti educator here, you are connecting your students to a global movement that has a unique Cantonese twist. Fun Fact: Guangzhou is home to some of the most intricate "wildstyle" graffiti in China, often hidden in the narrow 'urban villages' (chengzhongcun), where local artists use the grey walls as canvases for vibrant stories of community and change. 🎨
