Do I need to be an artist already to take this training?

No previous graffiti experience is necessary! Our teacher training is designed for educators of all backgrounds. Whether you are a classically trained fine arts teacher or a classroom generalist, we teach you the fundamentals from the ground up. You will learn how to handle spray cans safely, master basic techniques, and understand how to translate these skills into a curriculum that works for your specific student age group. We focus on making you feel confident enough to lead your own session.

How do you handle safety and health concerns in the classroom?

Safety is our absolute priority, especially when working in school environments. During the training, we cover everything from proper mask usage and ventilation requirements to choosing the right eco-friendly water-based paints for indoor use. We provide a comprehensive safety checklist that you can use for your own future workshops. You will learn how to manage a group of students with spray cans responsibly, ensuring a creative environment that is both fun and perfectly safe for everyone involved.

Will I receive any teaching materials or lesson plans?

Absolutely! We don't just teach you how to paint; we show you how to link graffiti to history, social studies, typography, and even physics (pressure and spray patterns!). We provide you with digital resources and lesson plan templates that align with modern educational standards. This helps you justify the activity to school boards and parents by demonstrating the deep cognitive and cultural learning taking place through this vibrant, contemporary art form.

How long does the teacher training session last?

A typical professional development session in Chongqing lasts between 3 and 4 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the theoretical background, safety protocols, and a heavy dose of hands-on practice. We move quickly from paper sketches to large-scale wall techniques. If your school or organization requires a more intensive full-day session or a multi-day certification, we can easily customise the timing and depth of the programme to suit your specific goals.

What is your payment policy for schools and educators?

We know school budgets can be tricky, so we have made our booking process as stress-free as possible. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date. Payment is only required after the workshop has been successfully completed. This gives you total peace of mind and allows your school's administration to process the paperwork without any financial risk. We believe in the quality of our training and want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience.

What happens if it rains or an instructor is unavailable?

Chongqing's weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If we have planned an outdoor session and it rains, we can either move to a covered outdoor area, use a well-ventilated indoor space with low-odour paints, or reschedule to a better day. Since we have a large team of professional artists, we also have backup instructors available to ensure your training goes ahead even if an artist falls ill. We never let a rain cloud ruin the creative flow!

Local culture

Chongqing is arguably the most "cyberpunk" city on the planet, with its forest of skyscrapers and monorails that weave through apartment buildings. This unique urban geography makes it a natural home for street art. From the famous graffiti street at Huangjueping to the hidden murals in the city's steep alleyways, Chongqing breathes creativity. During our art teacher training, we draw inspiration from this local landscape, teaching you how to incorporate the city's architectural spirit into your lessons.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Huangjueping Graffiti Street in Chongqing is one of the longest graffiti-covered stretches in the world? It covers over 1.2 kilometres and involved over 800 artists and students to create!
