Do I need previous graffiti experience to join the training?

No prior experience with spray paint is necessary! Our Xian training sessions are designed to take educators from absolute beginners to confident instructors. We focus on the fundamentals of can control and safety first, before moving into the teaching methodology. Whether you are a traditional oil painter or haven't picked up a brush since school, we will give you the tools to succeed.

What safety gear is provided during the professional development?

We take safety incredibly seriously, especially in an educational context. All participants are provided with high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits. During the training, we also teach you how to set up safe outdoor or well-ventilated indoor environments for your students, ensuring you meet health and safety standards while keeping the creative energy high. It is all about professional-grade protection.

Can these skills be used for large-scale school murals?

Absolutely! While we provide canvases for the initial practice, the skills you learn are perfectly suited for mural projects. We discuss the logistics of planning large-scale school murals, including how to involve students in the design process safely. By the end of the session, you will have the confidence to lead a class in transforming a dull school wall into a masterpiece.

How long does a typical teacher training session last?

Our professional development sessions are highly flexible. Most intensive workshops in Xian last between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the depth of the curriculum you wish to cover. For schools looking for a more comprehensive certification for their staff, we can also organise full-day 'deep-dive' sessions. We work around your school timetable to make it as convenient as possible.

How does the payment process work for educational institutions?

We believe in a 'stress-free booking' policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date in Xian. We provide an invoice after the workshop is completed, ensuring you are 100% satisfied with the experience before payment is made. This makes the administrative process much easier for schools and educational institutions with specific accounting requirements.

Are all materials included in the price?

Yes, we provide all the essential materials. This includes a wide range of professional spray cans in various colours, different types of nozzles (caps) for varied effects, protective gear, and practice surfaces. We also provide digital resources and teaching guides that you can take back to your classroom to help you structure your future street art lessons.

Practical safety skills: We teach you the professional way to handle aerosols, so you can run safe, controlled sessions in your own school.
Authentic expertise: Learn from working artists who live and breathe street art culture, not just from a textbook. 🏆

Local culture

Xian is a city where history lives on every corner, from the Terracotta Army to the ancient City Walls. But look closer at the thriving creative districts like the Textile City Art Zone, and you'll see a modern pulse that is perfect for street art exploration. We love blending the calligraphic heritage of Xian with contemporary graffiti styles. It’s a unique juxtaposition that students find absolutely captivating. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Xian was the starting point of the Silk Road? Much like those ancient traders, street art is a global language that connects cultures, making it the perfect subject for modern, globally-minded classrooms in Shaanxi!
