Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for younger students in Xi'an. We use high-quality, water-based spray paint that is low-odour and much safer for children than industrial alternatives. We also provide full protective gear, including gloves and masks. Our professional artists are specifically trained to supervise primary-aged children, ensuring they have a blast while staying completely safe throughout the creative process.

How many students can participate at once?

We are total pros at managing large groups! For primary schools in Xi'an, we usually split the students into smaller 'crews' of 10-15 children per artist. This ensures everyone gets plenty of hands-on time with the spray cans and individual guidance. We can accommodate everything from a single class to an entire year group by rotating sessions throughout the school day.

Do we need to travel to a specific studio?

We bring the art studio to you! Most of our Xi'an workshops take place right on the school grounds. All we need is an outdoor area like a playground, a sports court, or a well-ventilated covered space. We use large plastic sheeting and boards to protect your school's walls and floors, leaving the site exactly as we found it—except for the amazing new artwork!

Do the children need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basic 'can control' techniques and move on to simple shapes and filling. Our artists walk the students through every step, from sketching their first tag to adding those cool final highlights. Every child, regardless of their artistic confidence, will walk away feeling like a street art pro.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

Our standard primary school workshops in Xi'an usually last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping younger children engaged without them getting tired. We can also adapt the schedule to fit your school's timetable, whether that's a morning session, an afternoon intensive, or a full day of rotating workshops for different classes.

How do payments work for schools?

We make the booking process as stress-free as possible for schools. You don't need to pay anything upfront! We believe in the quality of our workshops, so we work on a 'pay after the event' basis. Simply request a quote, confirm the date, and we'll handle the rest. We also have backup artists ready to go, so your event is guaranteed to happen.

Do the kids get to keep their artwork?

Yes, they do! While we often work on large collective murals, students can also create their own individual pieces on canvases or boards. These make for a fantastic display in the school hallway or a wonderful souvenir to take home to parents. We love seeing a classroom transformed into a mini street art gallery at the end of the session!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school in Xi'an? It’s not just about the paint; it’s about the transformation. Here’s why schools love working with us: 🎨

Confidence Booster: Graffiti is a "no-mistakes" art form, perfect for building self-esteem in every child. 💪️
Teamwork in Action: Our mural projects require students to communicate and collaborate on a massive scale.
Safe & Professional: We use eco-friendly, low-odour paints and provide all necessary safety gear.

Memorable Outcomes: Whether it's a permanent mural or individual canvases, the results are always spectacular. 🏆
Reliability Guaranteed: With our "no cancellation" artist backup policy, your school event is in safe hands.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro to street art history and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment properly. ✨
Demonstration: Our pro artists show off some "wow" moves, explaining how distance and pressure change the way the paint hits the surface.
Sketching the Vision: Students grab pencils and paper to plan their tags or mural elements, learning about font styles and character design. 🎨
First Sprays: Under close supervision, the kids head to the boards to practice basic lines, dots, and "fading" techniques.
Filling & Colour: The real fun begins! Pupils start filling in their designs, learning how to layer colours for maximum impact.
Outlining & Shadows: We teach the trick of adding dark outlines and shadows to make their artwork "pop" off the wall. 🔥
Final Highlights: A few white highlights add that professional "shine" that makes every piece look like a masterpiece.
Group Photos: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo session in front of the finished artwork. 🏆
Clean Up: Our team handles the tidy-up, leaving the school grounds spotless and the students inspired.

Local culture

Xi'an is a city where ancient history meets modern innovation, and street art is the newest chapter in its long creative story. While the city is famous for the Terracotta Army, the local youth culture is increasingly embracing the bold, expressive nature of graffiti. Our workshops bridge the gap between Xi'an's traditional calligraphy roots and contemporary urban art, showing students that creativity has no boundaries. 🎤

Fun Fact: Did you know that Xi'an's historic City Wall is one of the oldest and best-preserved in China? While we definitely don't spray on ancient monuments, we use that local sense of history to inspire students to create their own "modern monuments" on our workshop boards! 🏯

From the creative hubs in the Beilin District to schools across the suburbs, we bring the vibe of a modern art gallery directly to your students. We love celebrating Xi'an's unique local energy through every spray can we pop! ✨
