Do the kids need any previous artistic experience?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed for beginners. Most of the young people we work with in Chongqing have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists break everything down into easy steps, starting with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex tagging and filling techniques. We ensure everyone feels confident and creative by the end of the session. ✨

Is it safe for teenagers and children?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. We also use low-pressure spray cans which are much easier (and safer) for younger hands to control. Every workshop is led by experienced professionals who supervise the group closely to ensure everyone is using the equipment correctly and staying safe throughout the project. 💪

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

The workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the number of participants and the complexity of the project. This gives the group plenty of time to learn the basics, practice their technique, and complete their collaborative masterpiece. We can also adapt the schedule to fit within a specific school or youth club timetable if needed. ⏱️

What do we need to provide for the workshop?

Usually, everything is included! We provide all the spray paint, safety gear, and surfaces (like large canvases or boards). If we are painting a permanent wall in a youth centre, we’ll just need to arrange access to the space beforehand. We’ll handle the setup and the cleanup, so you can focus entirely on the creative process. 🎨

What should the participants wear?

We provide protective overalls, but we always recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable trainers that you don't mind getting a little bit of 'artistic' paint on. Spray paint is permanent, and while we do our best to keep everyone clean, it’s always better to be safe than sorry when you're getting stuck into a big project! 👕

What happens if we need to cancel or change its date?

We understand that plans can change. That’s why we don’t require an upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're happy with the results. Additionally, we have backup artists available to step in if someone gets sick, so your youth project in Chongqing will never have to be cancelled at the last minute. 🛡️

Step by step

Select your theme: We chat with your youth group to decide on a concept or message they want to express through their art.
Choose the location: We find a suitable spot in Chongqing, whether it’s a community centre wall or a mobile setup in a local park.
Safety briefing: Our artists kit everyone out in protective gear and explain the golden rules of using spray cans safely.
Learning the basics: We start with 'can control'—teaching the kids how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Sketching the mural: The group works together to outline the main design on the chosen surface using light colours.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! The youth group starts layering colours and adding vibrant fills to the art.
Adding the 'Pop': Our pros help the kids add outlines, highlights, and final details to make the mural truly stand out.
The big reveal: We take a group photo with the finished masterpiece—a proud moment for any young artist in Chongqing!

Local culture

Chongqing is a city of layers, fog, and incredible verticality—the perfect backdrop for a medium as bold as graffiti. From the famous Huangjueping Graffiti Street, which is one of the largest art clusters in China, to the hidden corners of the Nan'an District, the city is a living canvas. Street art in Chongqing isn't just decoration; it's part of the city's modern identity.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Huangjueping Graffiti Street involved over 800 artists and students who painted nearly 50,000 square metres of wall space? That's the kind of massive scale and community spirit we bring to our youth workshops! 🏙️
