Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

Absolutely not! Our Katowice workshop is designed specifically for professional development, meaning we start with the absolute basics of can control and safety. Whether you are a fine arts maestro or haven't picked up a brush in years, our pros will guide you through the techniques step-by-step. You'll leave with the confidence to demonstrate these skills to your own students regardless of your prior experience level.

How do you handle health and safety during the session?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective suits for all participants. During the training, we'll teach you how to set up a safe 'spraying zone' in a school environment, how to manage paint storage, and how to ensure proper ventilation. You will leave the session with a full safety checklist to use at your own school in Katowice.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes! Upon completion of the training, you will receive a Graffitifun Certificate of Professional Development. This document outlines the hours completed and the specific skills mastered, such as spray can techniques, mural planning, and street art history. It’s a fantastic addition to your teaching portfolio and proves your commitment to staying current with contemporary art forms and urban culture.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything you need for the day. This includes a wide range of professional spray paint colours, various nozzles (caps), respiratory protection, gloves, and protective clothing. We also provide the practice surfaces and canvases. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dusty. We handle the complete setup and cleanup.

Can we do this at my school after the training?

While we can't promise a legal wall on your specific school's property, we do provide a comprehensive guide on the legalities of street art in Poland. We’ll show you how to apply for permits in Katowice and how to create 'temporary' graffiti walls using stretch wrap or wooden panels. This allows your students to enjoy the art form legally and safely without any risk of vandalism.

Is this training only for Art teachers?

The training is highly versatile. While perfectly suited for Art and Design teachers, it’s also great for extracurricular coordinators, youth workers, and even history teachers interested in urban movements. The skills taught—teamwork, large-scale planning, and spatial awareness—are transferable across many subjects. We’ve had teachers from all disciplines join us in Katowice to learn how to bridge the gap between traditional education and youth culture.

Local culture

Katowice is the heart of the Silesian Metropolis, where industrial heritage meets a modern, creative soul. The city has undergone a massive transformation, and street art has played a huge role in that. From the towering murals in the Mariacka Art District to the hidden gems in Nikiszowiec, Katowice is a playground for urban creators. When you train with us here, you’re not just learning a skill; you’re tapping into a local culture that celebrates grit and renewal.

Fun Fact: Katowice is home to the "Street Art Air" festival, which has turned many of the city's grey, post-industrial walls into massive, world-class outdoor galleries! 🏙️

Our training sessions often draw inspiration from the city's unique architecture, teaching you how to help your students see the "canvas" in their own local environment. We love hosting sessions near the Spodek or the Culture Zone, where the energy of the city is most palpable.
