Do I need to have prior experience with spray paint?

Absolutely no prior graffiti experience is required. This training is specifically designed for art teachers and educators who want to learn the basics from scratch. We’ll guide you through everything from holding the spray can to advanced layering techniques. You’ll leave with the confidence to lead your own classroom sessions, regardless of your starting skill level. It's all about learning the process so you can teach it effectively!

Is the workshop safe to use in a school environment?

Safety is our top priority. We use high-quality, low-odour spray paints and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves. During the training, we’ll specifically cover how to set up a safe workspace for your students in Namur, ensuring proper ventilation and skin protection. You will learn the best practices for managing a classroom of young artists while keeping everyone healthy and clean.

Are all materials included in the price?

Yes, we provide all the necessary professional equipment. This includes a wide variety of spray cans, various caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing, and canvases or practice walls. We also provide educational hand-outs that you can use as a reference when you start teaching your own pupils. You just need to wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on!

Can you host the training at our school in Namur?

We are highly flexible! While we have a fantastic training location in Namur, our artists can also come to your school or community centre if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area. We bring all the gear to you, making it an easy 'plug-and-play' professional development day for your entire department. Contact us to discuss the possibilities for an on-site visit.

How long does the professional development session last?

Our standard teacher training sessions usually last between 2.5 to 4 hours. This allows enough time for the theoretical introduction, safety briefing, hands-on practice, and a final Q&A about lesson planning. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive masterclass, we can easily extend the duration to a full-day seminar. We tailor the timing to fit your department's schedule.

Will I receive any teaching resources or lesson plans?

Definitely! Beyond the physical skill of painting, we provide you with a structured lesson plan framework. This includes how to teach the history of street art, the importance of legal spots versus vandalism, and how to help students move from initial sketches to a final large-scale piece. You’ll leave with a toolkit of ideas to keep your students engaged and inspired for weeks.

How much does the training cost for a group of teachers?

We understand that school budgets and department sizes vary. Our prices typically range from €25 to €55 per person. The final cost depends on the number of participants, the location, and the specific materials requested. We don't require any upfront payment—you can pay after the workshop. Local culture

Namur is a city where history meets modern creativity. While the stunning Citadel overlooks the Meuse, the streets below are increasingly becoming a canvas for urban expression. The city's commitment to culture through events like the FIFF and its growing network of legal street art walls makes it the perfect backdrop for your professional development. We tap into this local "Namurois" spirit, encouraging teachers to look at their city with fresh eyes.

Fun Fact: Did you know Namur has its own dedicated "Street Art Trail"? It features incredible murals from international and local artists, proving that the city is a true hub for urban art in Wallonia! 🏆

During our training, we often reference local landmarks and the specific street art scene in Namur to help you create projects that resonate with your students' daily lives. Whether you are influenced by the architecture of the Place d'Armes or the riverside vibes, we help you translate that local flavour into your art lessons.
