Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

Absolutely! Our teacher training in Charleroi is designed for all skill levels. We start with the absolute basics—how to hold a spray can, pressure control, and nozzle types—before moving into complex mural design. You don't need to be an 'artist' to start; you just need the enthusiasm to learn a new medium that will fascinate your students. We provide a supportive, judgement-free environment for you to experiment and grow.

How do you handle health and safety in a school environment?

Student safety is our number one priority. During the professional development session, we cover comprehensive safety protocols, including the mandatory use of high-quality FFP3 masks, nitrile gloves, and proper ventilation. We also teach you how to manage a classroom full of students with spray cans safely, ensuring everyone has a great time without any risks to their health or the school property.

Is there an upfront payment required for the booking?

We believe in complete flexibility for our Charleroi educators. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your session. We want you to feel confident in our service first. Payment is only settled after the workshop has been successfully completed and you're 100% satisfied with the training provided. This makes the administrative process much easier for schools and local organisations.

What materials are included in the workshop fee?

We provide everything needed for a successful training session! This includes a wide range of professional spray cans (low-pressure for better control), various caps/nozzles, protective gear (suits, gloves, masks), and the practice surfaces. We also provide digital resources and lesson plan templates that you can take back to your classroom to help implement your new street art curriculum immediately.

How do you incorporate Charleroi's local culture into the training?

Charleroi has a rich industrial history that is reflected in its world-class street art scene. During the training, we often discuss how to incorporate local landmarks and 'Carolo' culture into your lessons. We can even suggest the best legal spots in the city for future class field trips, ensuring your students feel a genuine connection to the urban landscape of their own city.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Our standard professional development workshops typically last between 2.5 to 4 hours. This allows enough time for the theoretical introduction, safety briefing, hands-on technique practice, and the creation of a final piece. However, we can customise the duration to fit your school’s inset day schedule or specific curriculum needs. Just let us know your requirements, and we will build a bespoke timetable for you.
