Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, we prioritise safety above all else. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional Namur street artists are expertly trained to supervise youth groups, ensuring that the spray cans are used correctly and that everyone stays in a safe, controlled environment while having the time of their lives.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Our youth project workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time to cover the basics of street art history, practice spraying techniques on plastic film or practice walls, and finally create a stunning collaborative masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or a full-day youth event in Namur, we can easily adapt the timing to suit your needs!

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you are a small youth club of 10 people or a large community centre in Namur looking to engage 100+ youngsters, we have the staff and materials to handle it. We have a solid roster of backup artists to ensure your event never gets cancelled, regardless of the group size. Just let us know your numbers!

Do the participants need to have any prior artistic skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a stick figure to aspiring young artists. Our instructors break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on the "fun" in Graffitifun, ensuring every participant feels proud of what they’ve created by the end of the day. It is all about expression, not perfection!

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Namur weather can be a bit unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered! We can arrange for covered outdoor spaces or use indoor-safe, water-based spray paints if a suitable indoor venue is available. We always discuss a "Plan B" with you during the booking process so that the youth project goes ahead rain or shine. Your creative energy shouldn't be dampened by a drizzle!

What is included in the workshop package?

We bring the full street art experience to you! This includes a wide range of professional spray cans in every colour of the rainbow, nozzles (caps), protective clothing, and the surfaces to paint on. We also handle the set-up and the clean-up. You just need to provide the enthusiastic participants and a location—or we can help you find a cool spot in Namur.

How does the payment process work?

We make it as easy as possible for youth organisations. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date. Once the workshop in Namur is completed and everyone is happy with their masterpiece, we will send over the invoice for payment. This keeps the process stress-free and transparent for your school or community group's budget management.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun session for your next youth initiative in Namur? Because we offer more than just a painting lesson—we offer a transformational experience! 🚀

Pure Creative Freedom: We give youngsters the tools to express their own voices in a way that feels authentic and "cool".
Teamwork in Action: Nothing builds a bond like working together on a massive, colourful mural that requires coordination and shared vision. 🤝
Instant Confidence Boost: Seeing a professional-looking artwork emerge from their own hands provides an incredible sense of pride and self-worth.
Zero Stress for You: We handle the gear, the prep, and the cleanup. You just watch the magic happen!
Vandalism Prevention: By teaching the difference between "vandalism" and "street art," we encourage a respectful and constructive relationship with the urban environment. 🏛️
Authentic Artists: Our facilitators are real street artists who live and breathe this culture, giving your group an authentic look at the lifestyle.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro, explaining the history of street art and handing out protective gear like masks and gloves.
The Art of the Can: Our pros demonstrate how to hold the spray can, how to control pressure, and how to swap nozzles for different effects.
Sketching the Vision: Participants brainstorm themes—maybe something representing Namur's youth culture—and sketch their ideas on paper first.
Practice Makes Perfect: Before hitting the final wall, everyone practices their lines and "tags" on a designated practice area or stretch foil.
Outline & Fill: It is time to go big! We start the main mural by outlining the letters and characters, then filling them with vibrant colours.
Adding Character: This is where the magic happens—adding shadows, highlights, and "power lines" to make the artwork pop off the wall.
Refining the Details: Our artists guide the group in cleaning up edges and adding those final professional touches that define true street art.
The Big Reveal & Photos: We stand back, admire the collaborative masterpiece, and take plenty of photos for your social media or community newsletter.
Clean-up & Wrap-up: We pack up all the materials, leaving the site tidy, while the youngsters leave with a massive sense of achievement!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Namur is quickly becoming a beacon for urban culture in Wallonia. While the city is famous for its historic Citadel and charming medieval streets, there is a pulse of modern creativity growing in every corner. Projects like the "Namur Walls" street art trail have already started transforming the city landscape, making it the perfect backdrop for a youth-focused graffiti experience. We love tapping into this local energy to show young people that they too can contribute to Namur's evolving visual story. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Namur hosts several street art festivals where international artists collaborate with locals? It is a city that truly celebrates the "Art within the City" philosophy!

Whether your group is based in the heart of the city or in surrounding areas like Jambes or Saint-Servais, we bring the street art vibe to you, connecting the youth with Namur's burgeoning creative identity.
