Is the graffiti workshop safe for university students?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our main priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our artists are professionals who train your students on how to use spray cans correctly and safely in an outdoor or well-ventilated environment. You don't need to worry about a thing; we bring everything needed to keep the university grounds and the students safe while they create their masterpieces.

Do students need to have prior art experience?

No prior experience or 'artistic' talent is required at all. Our Alexandria workshops are designed to take students from 'never held a spray can' to 'wow, I made that' in just a couple of hours. Our expert artists break down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. It’s all about the experience, teamwork, and expressing yourself through a different medium. Everyone can participate and have a great time.

How long does a typical university workshop last?

Most of our university workshops in Alexandria last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This usually includes a brief history of street art, a safety demonstration, technique practice, and then the actual creation of the mural. We can definitely adjust the timing to fit into your student union's schedule or a specific campus event. Whether it's a quick pop-up or a deep-dive afternoon session, we make it work.

Where do the workshops take place in Alexandria?

We are extremely flexible! We can host the workshop at a location you choose on campus (if permitted), or we can suggest local spots in Alexandria that are perfect for street art. If you're worried about permanent marks, we use large mobile canvases or cellophane walls so that the campus stays clean while the students get to express their creativity freely. We handle all the logistics from start to finish.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything: premium spray cans in a huge variety of colors, professional-grade masks, gloves, protective body suits, and the canvases or surfaces for the art. We also bring the talent—our professional graffiti artists who facilitate the entire session. The only thing you need to provide is the crowd of enthusiastic students ready to learn a cool new skill on the Mediterranean coast!

Can you accommodate large student groups or entire faculties?

Planning a large event for a Student Union or a specific faculty? No problem! We have a large team of backup artists and plenty of equipment to handle big groups. We can set up multiple stations so everyone gets a chance to spray. For very large groups, we often recommend a 'rotational' style or a collaborative mural project where different teams add their unique touch to a massive piece of art.

How does the payment process work for universities?

We understand that university budgets and event planning can be tricky. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. No upfront payments are required to secure your date. This builds trust and ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience before any money changes hands. It makes the administrative process much easier for student organizations and university departments across Egypt.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university event in Alexandria? It’s more than just painting; it’s an experience that breaks down barriers and sparks real connection. Here’s why it’s a total win:

Stress Relief: There is nothing more therapeutic than the 'hiss' of a spray can after a week of tough exams.
Boost Creativity: It gets students out of their comfort zones and encourages them to think big and bold.
Perfect for Social Media: Your campus event will be the most Instagrammable spot in Alex, guaranteed.
Inclusive Activity: Everyone starts as a beginner, making it a great equalizer for students from different backgrounds.
Professional Guidance: You aren't just given paint; you're taught by real artists who live and breathe street art.
Zero Financial Risk: With our 'pay later' policy, your student budget is safe until we deliver the goods.

Step by step

Introduction & History: We start with a cool intro about the evolution of graffiti from the streets of New York to the walls of Alexandria, explaining the culture and the 'rules' of the game.
Safety Briefing: Our artists suit everyone up in protective gear and explain how to use the spray cans and masks safely to ensure a clean, fun environment.
Learning the Basics: Students learn the fundamental 'can control' techniques—how to move their arm, how to control pressure, and how to create thin lines versus thick flares.
Sketching the Concept: Before hitting the wall, we help students sketch their ideas on paper or directly on the canvas with light outlines to plan the composition.
Filling and Fading: This is where the color comes in! We teach students how to fill large areas efficiently and how to create smooth color gradients and fades.
Outlining and Detail: Our pros show you how to 'cut' lines and add those sharp outlines that make a piece of graffiti pop and look professional.
Highlighting: The final touch! We add highlights and 'shines' to give the 3D effect that makes street art so dynamic and visually striking.
Group Photo and Celebration: We finish by admiring the collective work, taking photos for the university social media, and celebrating the new skills learned.

Good to know

Duration: Standard sessions are 1.5 to 3 hours, but we can customize the length.

Local culture

Alexandria isn't just about ancient history and the Library; it’s a city with a pulsing heartbeat of modern expression. From the vibrant murals hiding in the streets of Smouha to the artistic vibes near the Corniche, the city is a perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop. We bring that local Alexandrian spirit into every session, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the city's unique blend of Mediterranean flair and urban grit. Whether we're setting up near the university campus or at a local creative hub, the atmosphere of Alex always adds an extra layer of "cool" to the experience. We love seeing how students incorporate local motifs into their street art, blending global styles with the soul of the Bride of the Mediterranean.
