What should students wear to the graffiti workshop?

Simply wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little messy. While we provide high-quality protective overalls and gloves, graffiti is an active art form and a stray drop of paint can occasionally find its way onto your shoes. Think 'casual studio vibes' rather than 'night out in Gazi'. We’ve got the rest covered!

Do we need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned doodlers. Our pro artists will guide you through the basics of can control, lines, and shading. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can create something impressive once you learn the fundamental techniques of the craft.

How long does a typical session last?

Standard university workshops usually last between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or tie-in with a campus event, we can easily adjust the timing to suit your needs.

Is the spray paint safe to use on campus?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one is inhaling fumes, along with gloves and protective suits. We also ensure the chosen location has excellent ventilation. Our instructors are highly experienced in managing groups and keep a close eye on everything to ensure a safe, fun environment.

Where in Athens do the workshops take place?

We are fully mobile! We can set up temporary graffiti walls at your university campus in Athens, or we can host you at one of our cool local partner spots. Whether it's a student union hall, an outdoor courtyard, or a dedicated art space, we bring the entire studio setup directly to you.

How does the payment process work?

We believe in total flexibility for student organisations. There is no upfront payment required when you book your workshop. You only pay after the event is finished and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This takes the stress out of the planning process and ensures your budget is well-spent.

Can we create a large collaborative mural together?

Absolutely! We love it when a group wants to work on a collective mural. It’s a fantastic way to build community and leave a lasting (portable) piece of art for your faculty or student bar. Just let us know in advance if you want a collaborative project or individual canvases!

Step by step

Initial briefing: We kick things off with a high-energy intro, covering the history of street art and the 'rules of the road' for using spray cans safely.
Sketching your vision: Grab a marker and paper! You’ll brainstorm your design, focusing on lettering styles, characters, or abstract shapes.
Mastering the nozzle: Before hitting the wall, you'll learn 'can control'—how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients with different caps.
Outline and fill: Time to go big! You'll transfer your sketch to the canvas or wall, filling in your 'fill-ins' with vibrant Athenian-inspired colours.
The 'cutting' technique: Our pros show you how to 'cut' your lines to make them razor-sharp and professional.
Adding highlights: Learn how to make your art pop with 'power lines', 3D effects, and those essential white highlights that bring a piece to life.
Final touches: Step back, refine the details, and add your 'tag'—the signature that marks your work as your own.
The big reveal: We finish with a group photo session and a critique where everyone gets to show off their new skills and creative flair.

Local culture

Athens isn't just the cradle of democracy; it's one of the most exciting graffiti hubs in the world. From the sprawling murals in Exarcheia to the colourful alleys of Psirri, the city breathes street art. Our workshops tap into this local energy, using the same Mediterranean light and urban grit that inspires world-class artists like INO or WD. We don't just teach you how to paint; we connect you to the living, breathing heart of the Athenian street scene. 🏛️

Fun Fact: Did you know that some historians consider ancient Greek inscriptions and 'dipinti' found on the Parthenon's architecture to be the earliest forms of graffiti? You're literally continuing a 2,500-year-old Athenian tradition! 🎨
