Is this workshop suitable for young people with special needs?

Absolutely! We design our youth projects to be fully inclusive. We bring adjustable gear, selecting sites with easy access, and our artists are trained to adapt the teaching style so every young person in Athens can participate fully and safely, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. Street art is for everyone.

What safety measures do you take during the project?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 masks, nitrile gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our graffiti artists oversee the entire session, ensuring spray cans are used responsibly. We only use professional-grade paint that complies with health and safety standards to ensure a worry-free environment.

Where in Athens do these youth projects take place?

We are totally flexible! We can work with you to find a 'legal wall' or a dedicated street art zone in Athens, or we can bring mobile wooden panels or canvases to your community centre, youth club, or school playground. We make sure the location is safe, legal, and inspires creativity.

How long does a standard youth graffiti session last?

Youth projects typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a solid introduction, sketching, practice runs, and the final creation of the mural. If you have a larger group or a specific timeframe in mind, we can easily tailor the schedule to fit your needs.

Do the participants need to have artistic experience?

No prior talent or experience is required! Our Athens workshops are designed to turn 'I can't draw' into 'look what I made'. We teach the basic techniques from scratch, helping every young person find their own style and gain confidence throughout the creative process. It's about expression, not perfection.

What should the young people wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a bit messy, and paint might find its way onto shoes or sleeves. Better to be safe and comfortable!

How much does a graffiti youth project cost in Athens?

We understand that youth project budgets can be tight. Our pricing starts from €20 per person, but this varies based on the group size and the specific materials needed. We always aim to provide the best value for community groups and can provide a detailed, transparent quote within 24 hours.

The experience

Choosing a graffiti workshop for your youth project is a brilliant way to engage young people who might find traditional art lessons a bit stifling. Here’s why our sessions in Athens stand out:

Inclusive creativity: Graffiti levels the playing field, allowing kids of all backgrounds and abilities to shine.
Builds confidence: Seeing a large-scale mural completed by their own hands gives young people a massive ego boost.
Teamwork in action: Creating a collaborative mural requires communication, planning, and shared effort.
Safe and legal: we teach the difference between vandalism and street art, focusing on respect and legal expression.
Professional mentors: Our artists aren't just experts; they're passionate about mentoring and inspiring the youth.
No-risk booking: No upfront payment is required, and we have backup artists ready so your event never gets cancelled.

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us with your vision. We discuss the goals of your Athens youth project, the number of participants, and your preferred dates.
Concept design: Our artists help the youth group brainstorm a theme. Whether it's social justice, local pride, or pure abstract art, we help shape the idea.
Site preparation: We organise the location, whether it’s a local community wall or mobile boards brought to your venue, ensuring all surfaces are ready for paint.
Safety briefing: Every workshop starts with a clear demonstration on how to use spray cans safely and the importance of wearing the provided protective gear.
Basic techniques: Under the guidance of professional artists, the young people learn about cap pressure, lines, filling, and fading techniques.
Sketching the mural: We move from paper to the wall. The group outlines the master design, learning how to scale up their drawings to a large format.
The spray session: This is the main event! The participants work together to fill in the piece, adding vibrant colours and unique details to the mural.
Final touches: Our mentors help with the 'outlining' and highlights to make the artwork pop, ensuring the group feels immensely proud of the final result.
Cleanup and wrap-up: We take care of all the waste and empty cans, leaving the space tidy and the young creators with a massive sense of achievement.

Good to know

Duration: Usually 2 to 3 hours, but we can extend this for multi-day mural projects.

What’s included: Professional spray paint, high-quality masks, gloves, protective suits, and expert coaching.
Location: Flexible – we can use legal graffiti walls in Athens or bring mobile panels to your specific location.

Local culture

Athens is arguably the street art capital of Europe. From the vibrant alleys of Psirri to the rebellious walls of Exarcheia and the colourful corners of Metaxourgeio, the city is a sprawling gallery of creative resistance and artistic beauty. Our youth projects tap into this local energy, encouraging young Athenians to see their city through a different lens. We don't just teach them how to spray; we connect them to the rich history of Greek street art and the importance of creative expression in urban spaces. By participating in a Graffitifun workshop, your group isn't just making art—they're contributing to a long tradition of Athenian dialogue and visual storytelling that has existed for millennia, from ancient inscriptions to modern murals.

Our youth project pricing is designed to be affordable for community organisations, schools, and local councils in Athens. We believe art should be accessible to everyone.
