I’ve never used a spray can before. Is this workshop suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! Our Kota Kinabalu workshops are designed for everyone from total beginners to seasoned creatives. Most university students have never touched a spray can before they join us. Our professional artists break down the technique into simple, manageable steps, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable before you even start on your final piece. It’s all about having a go and enjoying the process!

How long does the graffiti workshop usually last?

A standard university workshop in Kota Kinabalu typically runs between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, a demonstration of basic techniques, some practice time, and the creation of your main masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or a larger student society event, we can easily adapt the timing to fit your needs perfectly.

What materials are included in the session?

We’ve got you covered! We provide all the necessary professional-grade spray paint in a wide range of vibrant colours, high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits. We also provide the canvas or surface you’ll be painting on. All we ask is that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little splash of paint on, just in case!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for students?

Safety is our number one priority. We use high-quality, low-odour spray paints and provide all participants with professional-grade safety gear, including masks and gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoor spaces to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Our instructors are also trained to manage group dynamics and equipment safely throughout the entire session.

Can we choose a specific theme for our university workshop?

Yes, we love making things personal! While we have plenty of templates and inspiration to get you started, we actively encourage student groups to come up with their own themes, logos, or messages. Whether you want to celebrate your faculty, your student club, or a specific university event in Kota Kinabalu, our artists will help you bring your unique vision to life on the wall.

What is the maximum group size for a campus event?

We can accommodate groups of almost any size! From small student leadership teams of 10 to large-scale campus events with 100+ participants, we have the staff and equipment to make it happen. For very large groups, we often set up multiple stations or work on a collaborative mural so everyone gets plenty of 'spray time' and professional guidance.

Do we need to pay in advance to book our date?

No need to worry about the cost upfront—we don't require any payment to secure your booking. You can settle the payment after the workshop has been successfully completed. We believe in our service and want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience before any money changes hands. It’s the ultimate stress-free booking process for student budgets and faculty accounts.

Local culture

Kota Kinabalu, with its stunning sunsets and vibrant markets, is a city that naturally inspires creativity. While KK is famous for Mount Kinabalu, its urban landscape is increasingly becoming a canvas for local talent. You can spot beautiful murals around the Pillars of Sabah and near the waterfront, showcasing the rich cultural blend of the region. Our workshops tap into this local 'Sabah Boleh' spirit, encouraging students to express their Bornean identity through a modern, urban medium. 🎨

Fun fact: Did you know Kota Kinabalu was formerly known as Jesselton? Just like the city transformed its identity, we're here to help you transform a plain wall into a work of art!
