Is the graffiti workshop safe for young teenagers?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We use high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our professional artists are experienced in leading youth projects across Adama and Ethiopia, ensuring a supervised, controlled, and positive environment where young creators can focus entirely on their artistic expression without any risks to their health or well-being.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Our youth project workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping energy levels high while allowing enough room for both technical training and creative freedom. We start with the basics of lettering and can control, moving quickly into the main project where the youth get to collaborate on a large-scale piece or their own individual artworks.

Do we need to provide the location in Adama?

We are extremely flexible! We can host the workshop at a dedicated street art location in Adama, or we can come to your youth center, school, or community space. If you have a specific wall in mind, we can help check the requirements. Otherwise, we provide mobile plastic walls or canvases so we can set up almost anywhere outdoors without leaving a permanent mark.

Do the participants need previous art experience?

None at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who have never held a spray can to experienced young doodlers. Our artists break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on building confidence and showing the youth that with the right techniques, anyone can create something impressive. It is all about the experience and the fun of creating together.

What materials are included in the youth project package?

Each workshop includes professional-grade spray cans in a wide variety of vibrant colors, protective masks, gloves, and overalls. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that is a temporary wall, boards, or a legal public wall. You don't need to bring anything but your energy. We also have backup artists ready to ensure the workshop goes ahead smoothly, no matter what.

How do we book and when do we need to pay?

Booking is easy and stress-free. You can reach out via our contact form to discuss your group size and date. The best part? We do not require any upfront payment. You only pay after the workshop is successfully completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This ensures total peace of mind for community organizers and youth leaders in Adama.

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We start by meeting the group and explaining how to use the equipment safely while respecting the local environment.
Concept brainstorming: Young participants sketch out their ideas, choosing themes that matter to their community in Adama.
Mastering the nozzle: Our pros teach the kids how to control hand pressure and distance to get the perfect line.
Outline and sketching: The youth move to the wall to spray the first rough outlines of their collaborative masterpiece.
Filling and coloring: This is where the magic happens! The group works together to fill in the letters and characters with vibrant colors.
Adding the details: We teach advanced tricks like shines, shadows, and 'second outlines' to make the art pop.
The final reveal: The group takes a step back to admire their hard work and snap photos for social media.
Tidying up: We ensure the site is clean and all materials are packed up, leaving only the beautiful art behind.
