How long does a typical youth graffiti workshop last?

Most of our youth projects in Likasi run between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the basic spray techniques, practice their 'tagging' style, and work together on a large-scale mural. If you have a specific schedule to meet for a community event or school program, just let us know and we can tailor the timing to suit your needs perfectly.

Is it safe for teenagers and children to use spray paint?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every participant. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups and ensure everyone uses the equipment correctly. We also use low-odour professional spray paint whenever possible to ensure a comfortable creative environment for the young people involved.

Do we need to have any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold the can, how to control the pressure, and how to create clean lines. Our goal is to build confidence, and you will be amazed at what the youth in Likasi can create in just one session. It’s all about the process and having a great time together.

What do we need to provide at the location in Likasi?

All you need to provide is an outdoor space (ideally with a wall or we can bring large plastic sheets to create a 'pop-up' wall) and some enthusiastic participants! We bring everything else: the premium spray paint in a huge range of colours, caps, protective gear, and expert guidance. If the workshop is indoors, we just need a well-ventilated area.

How much does a youth graffiti project cost?

The price depends on the number of participants and the specific goals of your project. In Likasi, our rates generally range from FC50,000 to FC120,000 per person. This covers all materials and the expert artist's time. For larger community groups or non-profit youth organisations, we can often provide custom packages. Reach out to us for a tailored quote that fits your budget.

What happens if we need to cancel or change our date?

We know that plans can change, which is why we have a large team of professional artists available across the region. If your assigned artist falls ill, we have backup experts ready to step in so that your event in Likasi stays on track. Plus, we don't require any upfront payment—you only pay once the workshop is successfully completed and everyone is happy!

Initial consultation: Reach out to us with your vision for the Likasi youth project. We’ll discuss goals, group size, and your preferred location.
Design brainstorming: Our artists can help your group brainstorm a theme or a message they want to communicate through their street art.
Safety briefing: On the day, we start with a full safety demo, showing everyone how to use masks and gear properly.
Technical practice: Before hitting the main wall, participants practice basic strokes, dots, and fades on practice boards.
Sketching the mural: We help the group scale up their ideas, sketching the outline of the grand design onto the chosen surface.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! The group works together to add vibrant colours and 3D effects to the piece.
The finishing touches: Our expert artists help with 'cutting in'—the sharp outlines that make the graffiti pop.
