Do the kids and teenagers need any prior drawing experience?

Absolutely! Our youth project workshops in Utena are designed for everyone, regardless of their artistic background. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics, from how to hold the spray can to mastering simple lines and shapes. Most participants are surprised by how quickly they can create something impressive. We focus on the process and the fun, ensuring every young person leaves feeling like a real street artist. 🎨

Is the graffiti workshop safe for young participants?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including professional-grade masks, gloves, and overalls to keep clothes clean. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and we always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially prepared indoor spaces. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a secure and controlled environment for all participants in Utena. ✅

How long does a typical youth project workshop last?

A standard youth project session in Utena typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a solid introduction, sketching designs, practicing techniques, and completing a collective mural or individual canvases. We can adjust the timing to fit your specific event schedule or educational goals, ensuring the energy stays high and the engagement remains constant throughout the entire experience. ⏱️

Where in Utena do the workshops take place?

We bring the workshop to you! We can host the session at a local youth centre, a school playground, or a public space in Utena (with the necessary permits). If you don't have a specific venue in mind, we can help find a suitable outdoor wall or indoor space that works for the group size. Our mobile setup allows us to be flexible and bring the art directly to the community. 📍

What materials are included in the youth project package?

Graffitifun provides everything! Your booking includes premium spray paint in a huge range of colours, caps for different line widths, protective clothing, masks, and the painting surface (whether it's a temporary wall or individual canvases). You don't need to worry about a thing—just bring your energy and some old shoes you don't mind getting a little dusty while we handle the logistics! 🎒

Can this workshop help with team building for youth groups?

We believe in the power of street art to bring people together! Our workshops encourage collaboration, as groups often work together on a large-scale mural. This requires communication, planning, and shared decision-making. Beyond art, these sessions build confidence, teach patience, and provide a healthy outlet for self-expression. It’s a fantastic way for young people in Utena to bond over a shared, tangible achievement. 🤝

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

The weather in Lithuania can be unpredictable, but we’ve got it covered. If the forecast looks rainy, we can either move the workshop to a covered outdoor area, use an indoor space with proper ventilation, or reschedule for a better day. We always have backup artists ready to go, so we do everything in our power to ensure your youth project goes ahead as planned! ☁️

The experience

Total Artistic Freedom: We give young people a voice and a blank canvas to shout (with paint) about what matters to them. 🎤
Professional Mentorship: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active street art pros who share real-world tips and tricks. 🏆
Stress-Free Logistics: No stress for the organisers! We bring everything, set it up, and clean it all up afterwards. 🧹
Safe & Professional: We use top-tier safety gear and professional-grade spray cans for a high-quality, secure experience. 🛡️
Skill Building: Beyond art, participants learn coordination, planning, and teamwork—skills that look great on any CV! 📈
Guaranteed Fun: Let’s be honest—spraying paint on a wall is the coolest school or community project ever. Everyone leaves with a smile! 😄

Step by step

Introduction & safety check: We kick things off with a high-energy intro, meeting the artists and getting geared up in masks and overalls to stay safe and clean.
The history of spray: A quick, cool briefing on how graffiti went from the streets of NYC to the world's biggest galleries, sparking inspiration for the day's work.
Can control basics: Before jumping into the art, we teach the "no-runs" technique—learning how to control pressure, distance, and angle like a pro.
Sketching the vision: Groups brainstorm their theme. Whether it's a message for the community or a wild abstract piece, we get the ideas down on paper first.
First lines & filling: The exciting part! Participants start outlining their designs on the wall or canvas, learning how to fill large areas with vibrant colours.
Adding the 'pop': Our artists show the group how to add shadows, highlights, and "powerlines" to make the piece look 3D and professional.
The final tag: Every artist needs a signature. We help each participant develop their own tag to leave a permanent mark on their work.
Group photo & clean up: We finish by admiring the masterpiece together, taking plenty of photos for social media, and making sure the site is left spotless.

Local culture

Utena is known as the "City of Luck" and the industrial heart of the Aukštaitija region, but we think it's time to add a splash of urban colour to that reputation! While the city is famous for its beautiful parks and the Dauniškis Lake fountain, the local youth are always looking for modern ways to express their identity. By bringing a graffiti workshop to Utena, we're tapping into the same hardworking and creative spirit that built the city's famous breweries and factories—just with a lot more spray paint!

Fun Fact: Did you know Utena is one of the oldest settlements in Lithuania? It’s a city where ancient history meets modern energy—the perfect backdrop for creating the next generation of street art legends! 🎨🔥

Whether we're setting up near the Utena Cultural Centre or a local school playground, the energy of the Aukštaitija youth is always unbeatable. We love seeing how the local landscape inspires the colours and shapes in their work.
