Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and young children?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks, protective gloves, and overalls to keep clothes clean. Our instructors start every youth project with a comprehensive safety briefing, explaining how to handle spray cans responsibly and ensuring there is proper ventilation at the Woodlands site. We make sure the environment is controlled and supervised at all times.

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

Our standard youth workshops in Woodlands usually run between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This includes the intro, sketching, and the actual painting. However, for larger community youth projects or mural designs, we can extend the session or spread it over multiple days. We are super flexible and can tailor the duration to fit your specific schedule or school holiday program requirements. Just let us know what works for you!

Do we need to provide our own spray paint or gear?

Everything is included! We bring the spray cans in a rainbow of colors, caps, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the 'canvas' (which could be a wall, boards, or individual canvases). You don't need to shop for anything. We just recommend that participants wear comfortable shoes and old clothes just in case, even though we provide overalls. We handle the setup and the cleanup!

Do the participants need to have prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist coaches are experts at breaking down complex street art techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We guide the youth through the entire process, from holding the can correctly to mastering 'fades' and 'outlines.' By the end of the session, even those who thought they weren't 'artistic' will be amazed at what they've created.

What makes Graffitifun different from other workshop providers?

We believe in a 'fun first' philosophy. There is no upfront payment required when you book your Woodlands youth project – you only pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy! Plus, we have a large team of backup artists ready to step in, so we never have to cancel your event due to illness. We are committed to making your youth event a massive success.

Can we create a permanent mural for our youth center?

Definitely! We love helping youth groups create something lasting. We can organize a project where the team works together on a large-scale mural that can be displayed at your community center, school, or youth hub in Woodlands. Participating in a collaborative mural is a fantastic way to build teamwork and give the participants a sense of ownership and pride in their local neighborhood.

Safe & sound: Everyone gets geared up with masks, gloves, and protective suits while we cover the essential safety rules. 🛡️
Brainstorming: Our artists help the youth group brainstorm a theme or a 'tag' that represents their identity or community message.
The demo: Watch a pro! Our instructors demonstrate cooling techniques like filling, fading, and highlighting. ✨
Sketching it out: Before hitting the wall, participants practice their designs on paper or light outlines to get the flow right.
Can control: It's time to spray! Participants start applying their base colors under the guidance of our street artists. 🎨
The finishing touches: We teach how to add sharp outlines and 'highs' to make the artwork pop and look professional.
The reveal: We step back to admire the collective masterpiece and snap some epic group photos for the 'gram! 📸
Pack up & victory: We handle the cleaning while the youth celebrate their new skills and creative achievements.

Local culture

Woodlands isn't just a gateway to Malaysia; it’s a thriving community with a heart for the arts! From the scenic Woodlands Waterfront Park to the bustling hubs near the MRT, there’s an energy here that’s perfect for street art. While Singapore has strict (and important!) rules about where you can paint, we bring the "legal wall" experience directly to you in the North. We celebrate the local spirit, often incorporating Singaporean motifs or "Woodlander" pride into our designs. 🇸🇬

Fun Fact: Did you know that the "urban" vibe of Woodlands, with its blend of industrial spaces and lush greenery, provides some of the best inspiration for contrast-heavy graffiti styles? It’s the perfect backdrop for a youth masterpiece!
