Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We use high-quality, low-odor spray paint and provide all participants with protective gloves and masks. Our professional artists are experienced in guiding youth in Bukit Timah through the process safely, ensuring everyone understands how to handle the equipment before we start spraying. It is a controlled environment designed for creative fun.

What is the minimum age for youth projects?

For our workshops in Bukit Timah, we generally recommend a minimum age of 10 to 12 years old. This ensures that the participants have the physical strength to press the spray nozzles and the focus to follow safety instructions. However, we can adapt the difficulty level for various age groups within youth projects to make sure everyone feels included and successful.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

While we love the vibe of Bukit Timah's outdoor spaces, we also have indoor solutions or covered areas available. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can often move the workshop to a sheltered location or use specialized water-based pens and indoor-safe materials. We always have a backup plan so your youth event isn't ruined by a sudden Singapore rain shower.

Do the participants need prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist-mentors will guide the youth through the basics, from holding the can to creating complex shadows. Most participants in Bukit Timah are surprised at how much they can achieve in just a few hours. It’s all about the experience and learning a new way to express oneself through art.

What materials are included in the package?

We provide everything needed for a successful street art session. This includes various colors of professional spray paint, caps (nozzles), protective gear, and the 'canvas' (which can be a wall, boards, or even individual canvasses). You just need to bring your enthusiasm and wear some old clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on!

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard youth workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the creation of a final collaborative masterpiece. We can also customize the duration to fit into a larger community event or school schedule in the Bukit Timah area.

Do I need to pay in advance for the workshop?

Yes, we believe in a hassle-free booking process. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date in Bukit Timah. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience we provided for your youth group before any funds are transferred.

Local culture

Bukit Timah isn't just about lush greenery and prestigious schools; it’s a district with a growing appreciation for contemporary art and community expression. By bringing our graffiti workshops to this area, we are bridging the gap between the traditional prestige of the neighborhood and the modern, urban pulse of Singapore's youth. From the quiet lanes near Beauty World to the bustling community hubs, there is a canvas waiting to be transformed.

Our projects often draw inspiration from the local flora and fauna of the Bukit Timah Hill, blending nature with the bold colors of street art. We focus on creating "legal" art spaces that respect the local environment while giving teenagers a legitimate outlet for their creativity. It’s about adding a splash of urban color to the green heart of Singapore.
