How it works

Introduction & Safety: We start with a cool intro about the world of street art and go over the safety rules. Every student gets their protective gear.
The Concept: Students brainstorm a theme or a 'tag' name for the group. We talk about styles like bubble letters and wildstyle.
Sketching: Before touching the cans, the kids grab paper and pencils to map out their designs and practice the letter shapes.
Can Control: Our artists demonstrate how to hold the spray can, how to control the pressure, and how to create thin vs. thick lines.
The First Layer: The students head to the wall or canvas to put down their base colors and fill in their shapes.
Outlining & Shadows: This is where the art pops! We teach them how to add shadows and sharp outlines to make their work 3D.
Fine Details: Adding shines, highlights, and 'doo-dads' to personalize the piece and make it look professional.
The Big Reveal: We finish with a group photo session in front of the masterpiece before cleaning up the area.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe for kids to use spray paint in Alexandria?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including gloves and high-quality masks to ensure nobody breathes in fumes. Our professional artists supervise the kids at all times, teaching them the correct way to handle spray cans safely while having a blast. It’s a controlled environment where they can be wild with their art but safe with their health.

How long does a typical after-school graffiti session last?

Our after-school workshops in Alexandria usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to keep students engaged without them getting tired. During this time, we cover everything from the history of street art and sketching their first tags to the final spray-painting session on a shared wall or individual canvases.

Do my students need to have prior art skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a straight line to budding young Da Vincis. Our local artists walk the kids through simple techniques that yield impressive results quickly. We focus on 'flow' and 'style' rather than perfection, ensuring every student leaves feeling like a proud creator.

Where exactly in Alexandria do these workshops take place?

We bring the art to you! We can host the workshop right at your school premises in Alexandria if there is a suitable outdoor area or a well-ventilated space. Alternatively, we can help arrange a session at a local legal graffiti wall or a creative hub near the Corniche. We're flexible and make the logistics easy for you.

What do we need to provide for the workshop?

We take care of everything. Graffitifun provides all the premium spray paint, protective clothing, masks, gloves, and the painting surfaces (walls or canvases). The school only needs to provide the space and the enthusiastic students. We even bring cleaning materials to make sure we leave the site just as tidy as we found it.

Do we have to pay upfront to secure our booking?

We understand that school schedules and budgets can be tricky. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront payments or deposits. We trust our quality and our community, and we want to make the booking process as stress-free as possible for Alexandria's educators.

What age groups are these after-school programs for?

While we usually suggest ages 8 and up because of the physical coordination needed to press the spray nozzles, we can adapt our program for younger kids using markers or water-based paints. For teenagers and secondary school students, we crank up the complexity to keep them challenged and inspired by the real 'street' techniques.
