Frequently asked questions

How long does a typical outdoor graffiti party last?

For our outdoor parties in Chicago, we usually suggest a duration of 2 to 3 hours. This gives your group plenty of time to learn the basic spray techniques, practice your 'tagging' style, and then collaborate on a massive final masterpiece. If you have a tighter schedule, we can condense the energy into a 90-minute session, but most groups find the longer sessions more relaxing and creative.

Do we need any prior art experience to enjoy the workshop?

Not at all! Our Chicago street art guides are experts at working with beginners. We start with the very basics of can control and nozzle management. Whether you think you’re 'artistically challenged' or you're a regular Picasso, we’ll guide you step-by-step. By the end of the party, everyone will have created something they are genuinely proud of. It’s all about the experience and having a blast with friends.

What materials are included in the outdoor package?

We provide high-quality professional spray paint, a wide variety of nozzle tips (caps) for different effects, and all necessary protective gear including gloves and masks. Depending on the setup, we provide large canvases or mobile graffiti walls. Just bring your enthusiasm and wear clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on—even though we provide protection, it’s still a messy, fun activity!

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor event?

We always have a Plan B! If the Chicago weather decides to get rainy, we can usually pivot to a covered outdoor area or move the party to one of our indoor partner studios. We also have a large roster of backup artists in the Windy City, so your event will never be canceled due to an artist being unavailable. Your party's success is our top priority.

Is the spray paint safe to use for a group event?

Safety is our number one priority. We use low-odor spray paints whenever possible and provide high-quality respiratory masks and gloves to every participant. Our instructors are professional artists who are trained in managing group dynamics safely around paint. Because we are outdoors in the fresh Chicago air, ventilation is excellent, making it one of the safest ways to enjoy a graffiti experience.

Can we customize the theme of our graffiti session?

Definitely! We love helping you celebrate milestones. Whether you want to include a specific logo, a birthday name, or a wedding date in the artwork, just let us know. We can pre-sketch basic outlines to help your group get started, or we can focus the entire session on a specific theme of your choice. It's your party, and we want it to reflect your style!
