What happens if it rains on our outdoor party day?

Because our outdoor parties take place in Philly, we keep a close eye on the forecast. If light rain is expected, we usually provide cover or work in a sheltered outdoor spot. If it's a total washout, we can reschedule your event or move it to a backup indoor location so the party doesn't stop. We are flexible and always ensure you get to paint!

Do we need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No artistic talent is required to have a blast at our workshops. Our pro artists specialize in teaching beginners. We guide you through every step, from holding the can to master layering techniques. By the end of the session, you’ll be amazed at the mural you helped create. It’s all about the experience and having fun with your friends!

What should we wear to an outdoor graffiti workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a little 'artistic' on. While we provide high-quality protective ponchos and gloves, spray paint can be unpredictable in the wind. Think of it as your official artist uniform for the day! Avoid your favorite designer gear just to be safe while you're unleashing your inner Banksy.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide professional-grade gloves and masks to ensure everyone breathes easy while painting. We also use high-quality spray paint and provide a thorough safety briefing before anyone touches a can. Our experienced instructors supervise the entire process to make sure the environment remains fun, creative, and completely safe for all participants.

How long does a typical session last?

Standard outdoor party workshops in Philadelphia typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives your group enough time to learn the basics, practice your tags on the practice wall, and then collaborate on a massive final masterpiece. If you have specific timing needs for your event, just let us know and we can customize the duration to fit your schedule.

Is there a minimum number of people required?

Yes, for outdoor parties, we have a minimum group size to ensure the best vibe and cost-effectiveness. Generally, we look for groups of 10 or more, but we are happy to accommodate smaller private groups for a flat fee. Whether it's an intimate birthday or a massive neighborhood bash, we can scale our setup to meet your specific needs!

The experience

Why settle for an ordinary party when you can give your guests a story to tell? Philadelphia is a city of makers, and an outdoor graffiti workshop is the perfect way to tap into that local spirit. Here is why our outdoor parties are the talk of the town:

Fresh air vibes: Nothing beats painting outdoors with music playing and the sun shining. ☀️
Zero stress: We bring everything—the paint, the gear, and the talent. You just show up and spray! ✨
Epic photos: The colorful murals make for the perfect Instagram backdrops for your whole group. 📸
No experience needed: Our pros make sure everyone, even the "I can't draw a stick figure" person, creates something cool. 🎨
Bring the party to you: We can set up mobile graffiti walls at your location or meet us at one of our Philly hotspots. 🚚
Total flexibility: From kids parties to bachelor outings, we tailor the vibe to you. 👔

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: Meet your pro artist guide and get a quick crash course on Philly's legendary street art history.
Safety first: Get geared up in your protective ponchos and gloves, and learn the essential 'do's and don'ts' of spray painting.
First lines: Start with the basics! Learn how to control the nozzle to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth fades.
Lettering workshop: Work on your personal 'tag' or nickname. Your instructor will show you how to add style and 3D effects to your letters.
The big concept: As a group, brainstorm the theme and colors for your main outdoor mural.
Sketching it out: Watch as the artist outlines the main design on the wall or large-scale canvases.
Filling & coloring: It’s time to go wild! Everyone grabs a can to fill in the masterpiece with vibrant Philadelphia-inspired colors.
Final outlines & highlights: Add those crisp final touches and highlights that make the artwork pop off the wall.
Photo op & cleanup: Pose with your creation for the ultimate group photo before we handle all the cleanup.

Local culture

Philadelphia isn't just the birthplace of liberty; it's arguably the birthplace of modern graffiti. From the legendary 'Cornbread' in the 60s to the world-renowned Mural Arts Philadelphia program today, this city breathes urban creativity. When you book an outdoor workshop here, you're stepping into a tradition that defines neighborhoods from Fishtown to South Philly.

Fun Fact: Philadelphia is known as the "City of Murals" and has over 4,000 pieces of community-based public art, more than any other city in the world! 🎨

Our outdoor sessions take advantage of the city's unique industrial backdrops and public spaces, giving you an authentic "street" experience that stays legal, safe, and totally epic.
