Do I need prior art experience to participate?

Because our Philadelphia pop-up events are designed for everyone! You don't need to be an artist or have a steady hand. Our professional graffiti mentors guide you through the process, from holding the can to master layering techniques. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created. It's all about letting loose and having a blast in a supportive, creative environment.🎨

What materials are included in the workshop?

We’ve got you covered! We provide high-quality spray paint, various caps for different line widths, and all necessary protective gear including gloves and masks. We even provide the 'canvas'—whether that's a mobile wall or individual boards. We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on, because while we provide gear, creativity can sometimes get a bit messy!🔥

Is the workshop safe for beginners and kids?

Safety is our top priority in Philly. We use low-odor, high-quality spray paints whenever possible and provide mandatory protective masks and gloves for all participants. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We ensure the pop-up location is well-ventilated so you can focus entirely on your art without any worries. We take care of you!💪

Can I book a private pop-up for my friends?

Absolutely! While we have pre-arranged pop-up dates, we also love setting up custom experiences for private groups. Whether it's a birthday in Rittenhouse Square or a neighborhood block party, we can bring the Graffitifun vibe to you. Just reach out via our contact form, and we’ll help you plan a private street art session that your friends will never forget.✨

How long does a typical pop-up session last?

A standard Philadelphia pop-up workshop typically lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of Philly street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the creation of a final collaborative or individual piece. We move at a pace that keeps things exciting while ensuring you actually learn the skills. It’s the perfect afternoon activity!🕒

Do I have to pay upfront to secure my spot?

No way! At Graffitifun, we believe in the quality of our service. You can book your spot or schedule your event without any upfront payment. You only pay after the workshop is complete and you're satisfied with the experience. We want the booking process to be as stress-free as the painting itself. Your satisfaction is our absolute guarantee!💸

Local culture

Philadelphia isn't just a city; it's an open-air gallery. From the legendary "CORNCREAD" tags of the 60s to the world-renowned Mural Arts Program, Philly has street art in its DNA. Our pop-up events tap into this rich heritage, often setting up near creative hubs like Fishtown or the vibrant streets of South Philly. We don't just teach you how to paint; we connect you to the local vibe that makes Philadelphia a global capital of public art.

Fun Fact: Did you know Philadelphia is often credited as the birthplace of modern graffiti? Pioneering artist Cornbread started tagging the city in 1965, long before the New York scene exploded! 🥨
