How it works
- Intro and safety briefing: Meet our pro artists and get kitted out in protective gear while learning about spray can safety.
- Street art history: A quick, engaging talk about how graffiti evolved from illegal tagging to respected world-class art.
- Basic techniques: Students learn how to control the pressure, distance, and angle of the can to create clean lines.
- Sketching the vision: Team up to brainstorm a concept and sketch out the design on paper before hitting the wall.
- Outline and fill: The exciting part! Students start applying their designs to the wall, filling in large areas with bold colours.
- Adding details: Use specialized nozzles to add highlights, lowlights, and those crisp outlines that make the art pop.
- The final reveal: Step back and admire the collaborative masterpiece created by the whole group.
- Photo session: Capture group shots and individual photos with the artwork—perfect for the school's social media or yearbook!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?
Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and full-body overalls to keep clothes clean. Our instructors are professional artists who supervise the group throughout the entire session. We use high-quality spray paint and conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated spray zones in Prague to ensure a safe environment for every secondary school student.
How long does a typical workshop session last?
A standard secondary school workshop in Prague usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives students enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their 'tagging' and 'piece' building on practice walls, and then complete a final large-scale collaborative project. We can also adapt the timing to fit into your specific school timetable or an afternoon excursion schedule if needed.
Do students need to have previous art experience?
No prior artistic skill is needed! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and encouraging for everyone. Whether a student is a natural-born illustrator or someone who has never held a spray can, our artists guide them through simple steps to create something impressive. It is more about teamwork, expression, and having a blast than being the next Michelangelo.
What materials are included in the workshop package?
We provide everything needed for a successful street art experience. This includes professional-grade spray paint in a huge variety of colours, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the surfaces to paint on. We also bring caps (nozzles) that allow for different line widths. All you need to do is bring the students and plenty of energy!
What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?
The Czech weather can be unpredictable, but we have you covered. Most of our Prague locations have sheltered areas, but if the weather is truly terrible, we can often relocate to an indoor space or reschedule the session. Because we have multiple backup artists available, we are very flexible and will work with you to ensure the event happens safely and comfortably.
Is there a deposit or upfront payment required?
We believe in the quality of our workshops, so we don't require upfront payments. You can settle the invoice after the workshop has been successfully completed. This gives schools and teachers peace of mind, knowing they only pay for a service they are 100% satisfied with. It’s part of our commitment to making the process stress-free for educators.
What should students wear to the graffiti session?
We recommend wearing comfortable, old clothing and sturdy shoes (like trainers). Even though we provide full protective overalls, graffiti can be a bit messy, and a stray splash of paint is always a possibility. Avoid wearing expensive brand-new sneakers or your favourite designer jacket! Once the gear is on, the students are ready to transform into urban artists.
