The experience

  • Unleash hidden talent: Many kids who struggle with traditional school subjects thrive in the hands-on, tactile world of street art. ✨
  • Builds confidence: There’s nothing quite like the pride of seeing your own giant, colourful name on a wall or canvas.
  • Professional mentors: Learn from real artists who live and breathe the culture, not just teachers reading from a book. 🎤
  • Zero stress for schools: We bring everything, manage the setup, and handle the cleanup. You just provide the space!
  • Safe and controlled: We use high-quality, low-odour paints and top-tier safety gear to ensure a healthy environment. 🏆
  • Inclusive fun: Graffiti is a great equaliser—it doesn't matter your background, everyone starts with a blank canvas and a fresh can.

Step by step

  1. Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a high-energy introduction to graffiti culture and a vital safety demonstration on how to use the gear properly.
  2. Design brainstorming: Students grab paper and markers to sketch out their ideas, tags, and characters, planning their colour schemes before touching a can.
  3. The first spray: Under the guidance of our pros, kids learn how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create their first lines on a practice surface.
  4. Mastering techniques: We move on to "filling," "fading," and "outlining"—the three pillars of a great piece of street art.
  5. Creating the masterpiece: Now the real fun begins! Each student applies their new skills to their final project, whether it's a personal canvas or a shared mural.
  6. The finishing touches: Our artists help the students add highlights and sharp outlines to make their artwork really 'pop.'
  7. Group gallery and photos: We finish with a celebration of everyone's work, taking photos of the crew and their amazing new creations.

Local culture

Street art in Sligo

Sligo has always been a hub for creativity—from the poetry of Yeats to the vibrant contemporary arts scene centered around places like The Model. Our workshops aim to add a modern, urban twist to that local heritage. We love bringing the street art vibe to the shadow of Benbulben, showing the local youth that creativity has no limits. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Sligo is home to some incredible hidden murals? If you head down towards the Garavogue River, you can spot some brilliant local street art that perfectly blends Sligo's natural beauty with modern urban style! 🌊
