The experience

Standard art classes are great, but there’s something special about the hiss of a spray can that really gets students engaged. Here is why our after-school sessions are the talk of the playground:

  • Boosts confidence: Seeing a massive, colourful piece of art come to life helps students realise they are capable of big things. 🚀
  • Total inclusivity: You don't need to be 'good at drawing' to be great at graffiti. It’s all about style and attitude!
  • Stress relief: Spraying paint is incredibly therapeutic and a great way to blow off steam after a long day of study. 💨
  • Professional artists: Our team isn't just hobbyists—they are active street artists who know how to inspire the next generation. 💪
  • No risk booking: With our backup artist policy and pay-after-the-event model, your school's budget is always safe with us. 🏆

Step by step

  1. Intro and safety briefing: Meet your Graffitifun artist and learn the golden rules of street art and spray can safety.
  2. Tagging basics: Start by choosing your 'street name' and learning the flow of handstyles and tags.
  3. Can control 101: Practice the 'feeling' of the spray can, learning how to make thin lines, fat drips, and smooth fades.
  4. Sketching the masterpiece: Map out your main design on the board using light 'ghost' lines to get the proportions just right.
  5. Filling in the colours: Learn the 'inside-out' technique to fill your letters with vibrant gradients and funky patterns.
  6. The power of the outline: See your art pop as you add sharp black outlines and '3D' depth effects to your letters.
  7. Detailing and highlights: Add those final 'shines' and 'splats' that make a piece look professionally finished.
  8. The big reveal: Step back and admire the group's work! We wrap up with a cool photo session with your finished masterpieces.

Local culture

Street art in Galway

Galway is a city that breathes creativity, from the buskers on Shop Street to the murals tucked away in the West End. It’s a place where tradition meets edgy modern culture, making it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop. We love tapping into that 'Galway vibe'—incorporating the city's maritime history or its legendary 'Macnas' spirit into our designs. Whether we are inspired by the Spanish Arch or the wild Atlantic waves, our workshops help local students connect with the urban landscape they see every day.

Fun Fact: Did you know Galway was a European Capital of Culture? The city has a long history of supporting public art, and by learning graffiti, students are joining a long lineage of Galway creatives who aren't afraid to use the world as their canvas!

Pricing

Our workshop prices are designed to be accessible for school groups and youth clubs. The cost typically stretches from €30 to €60 per person, depending on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and whether you want individual canvases to take home or a large communal mural.

We believe in total transparency and flexibility. That’s why we offer a No-Cure, No-Pay guarantee and you only pay after the event is finished and you’re buzzing with excitement! ✨
