Step by step

  1. Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy kick-off, introducing our professional artists and explaining the 'rules of the road' for using spray cans safely.
  2. The Basics: Students learn about 'can control'—how to hold the spray can, how much pressure to apply, and how to create thin and thick lines.
  3. Sketching Your Idea: Before we touch the walls or boards, the kids sketch out their tags or characters on paper to plan their masterpiece.
  4. Practising Techniques: We move to the boards where students practice filling, fading, and outlining their shapes under the guidance of our pros.
  5. Creating the Masterpiece: Whether it's a individual canvas or a giant collaborative mural for the school, the real painting begins!
  6. Adding Details: Using paint pens and highlighting techniques, we add those 'pro' finishing touches that make the artwork pop.
  7. Group Photo & Celebration: Once the paint is dry, we gather for a group photo with the finished art. A great moment for the school newsletter!
  8. Clean-up: Our team handles the clean-up, leaving your Galway school grounds exactly as we found them (except for your awesome new art!).

Local culture

Street art in Galway

Galway is famously known as the City of Tribes and the cultural heart of Ireland, so there’s no better place to inspire young creatives. From the colourful shopfronts of Quay Street to the murals tucked away in the West End, street art is part of the city's DNA. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students to contribute to Galway's reputation as a hub of artistic innovation.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Galway was the European Capital of Culture in 2020? We love bringing that 'capital of culture' energy to every primary school we visit in the county! 🇮🇪

Whether your school is near the Claddagh or out towards Oranmore, we bring the vibe of the Galway International Arts Festival directly to your students, making art accessible and awesome for everyone.

Pricing

Our workshop prices are designed to be affordable for schools, usually ranging between €30 and €60 per student. The final price depends on the number of classes participating, the duration of the sessions, and whether you want the students to keep individual canvases or create a large permanent mural for the school wall.

We believe in total transparency and zero stress—that's why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' guarantee. No deposit needed to get your date in the diary!
