Step by step

  1. Initial Enquiry: Reach out to us with your preferred dates and the number of students. We’ll help you find the perfect slot in the school calendar.
  2. Design Consultation: We chat about themes. Whether it's 'Equality', 'School Spirit', or 'Environmental Awareness', we tailor the workshop to your goals.
  3. Safety Briefing: On the day, we start by getting everyone suited and booted in protective gear and explaining the golden rules of the spray can.
  4. Skill Building: Students start with the basics—lines, dots, and fills. Our artists demonstrate how to move the body to get the smoothest finish.
  5. Sketching the Mural: The group works together to outline a large-scale design, learning about perspective and scale in street art.
  6. The Big Paint: This is where the magic happens! Students fill in the mural, adding highlights, shadows, and their own unique 'tags' or characters.
  7. The Grand Reveal: We finish with a group photo in front of the completed work. The sense of achievement in the air is always electric!

Local culture

Street art in Galway

Galway is a city that breathes creativity, from the colourful shop fronts of Quay Street to the world-class performances during the Galway International Arts Festival. Street art is a huge part of our local identity, with murals tucked away in the West End and along the Corrib that tell the stories of our tribes. We love bringing this 'City of Tribes' spirit into our workshops, encouraging students to draw inspiration from Galway’s rich maritime history and its legendary busking culture. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Galway was the European Capital of Culture in 2020? That legacy of artistic boldness is exactly what we aim to spark in every student who picks up a can during our sessions!
