Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks. Our professional artists are trained to supervise children closely, ensuring they use the spray cans correctly while maintaining a fun, controlled environment. We only use high-standard materials that are safe for use in our guided workshops, giving parents and teachers total peace of mind while the kids get creative.

How long does a typical after-school session last?

A standard after-school session in Limerick typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives the students enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their strokes, and complete a final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or school bell times to work around, let us know! We are flexible and can adjust the timing to fit your afternoon programme perfectly.

Do we need to travel to a studio, or do you come to the school?

We bring the art studio to you! Our workshops can be held directly on school grounds, provided there is a suitable outdoor space or a very well-ventilated indoor area. We use protective floor coverings to ensure we leave the place exactly as we found it. If your school doesn't have a spot, we can often suggest local creative spaces in Limerick that are perfect for getting messy.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything needed for a world-class street art experience. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, protective masks, gloves, and overalls to keep school uniforms clean. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that’s individual boards for students to take home or a large communal film wall for a joint project. You just need to bring your enthusiasm!

What if the students have no previous art experience?

No talent? No problem! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total novices to budding young artists. Our professional street artists break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on the 'fun' in Graffitifun, ensuring every child feels proud of what they create. It’s about expression and confidence, not just technical perfection. Every student leaves with a smile and a masterpiece.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Limerick weather can be a bit 'Irish' sometimes! If we are planned for outdoors and it pours, we have a few options. We can move to a covered outdoor area, use a well-ventilated indoor hall with extra floor protection, or reschedule the session for a clearer day. We have backup artists available to ensure your event goes ahead smoothly, regardless of the typical Shannon breeze!

How much does an after-school workshop cost per student?

Our pricing is flexible and depends on the total number of students and the duration of the programme. Generally, prices range between €30 and €60 per person. We offer competitive rates for larger school groups and recurring after-school clubs. For an accurate price that fits your school's budget, we recommend hitting the 'Request a Quote' button so we can tailor a package specifically for your Limerick group.

The experience

Why settle for the usual football or chess club when you can give students a chance to master the art of the spray can? Here is why our Limerick workshops are a total game-changer:

Confidence Boost: There are no mistakes in graffiti, only "happy accidents" that turn into art! 💪
Pro Artists: Learn from real street artists who have years of experience and a passion for teaching.
All-Inclusive: We bring everything—paint, masks, gloves, and surfaces. You just bring the kids! 🛡️
Stress-Free: No upfront payment and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If they don't have fun, we haven't done our job.
Team Building: Collaborative murals teach students how to work together to create something bigger than themselves. 🤝
The Cool Factor: Let’s be honest—it’s the one after-school activity every student actually wants to brag about! 🔥

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a quick chat about street art history and a vital safety demo on how to use the gear properly. 🛡️
Mastering the can: Students learn the 'finger pressure' technique to control paint flow and prevent those pesky drips.
Lines and shapes: We practice basic elements like thin lines, fat caps, and dots to build muscle memory.
Sketching the design: Every kid gets to plan out their tag or piece on paper or directly on the practice wall. 📝
The filling process: Learn how to fill in large areas evenly with vibrant colours without wasting paint.
Outlining and highlights: This is where the magic happens! We add 'cut-lines' and highlights to make the art pop off the surface. ✨
Final touches: Our pro artists help the students add those "wow-factor" details that make the work look professional.
Photo op and cleanup: We snap some group shots with the final masterpieces before tidying up the gear. 📸

Local culture

Limerick has an incredible, gritty creative soul—from the murals in the city centre to the vibrant street culture that pulses through the Milk Market and beyond. Our workshops tap into that local "Limerick City Kid" energy, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the historic walls of King John’s Castle mixed with modern urban vibes. 🏰

Fun Fact: Did you know Limerick is home to one of Ireland's most famous street art festivals? The city is literally an open-air gallery, making it the perfect place for the next generation of artists to find their voice! 🎨

We love working in schools across the county, from Dooradoyle to Castletroy, ensuring that the local street art scene continues to grow with fresh, young talent from right here in Shannonside.
