How does a live painting performance actually work?

Live painting in Limerick is a fantastic addition to any event. Our artist arrives early to set up their workspace, ensuring all surfaces are protected. As the event kicks off, the painting begins! Guests can watch the artwork evolve from a rough sketch to a vibrant masterpiece over several hours. We encourage interaction, so feel free to ask the artist questions or snap photos of the progress. It’s a dynamic, evolving performance that keeps people talking.

Can we choose what the artist paints?

Absolutely! Whether you want your company logo, a specific theme, or a tribute to Limerick’s landmarks like King John’s Castle, we’ve got you covered. We’ll discuss your vision during the booking process and create a concept that aligns perfectly with your brand or event goals. The result is a unique, bespoke piece of art that belongs to you once the paint has dried and the party is over.

Is there a lot of mess or a strong smell?

Not at all. While we love working outdoors in the Irish air, we are experts at indoor setups. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints or acrylic markers depending on the venue's ventilation. We provide heavy-duty floor and wall protection to ensure the venue remains spotless. Whether it's a hotel ballroom or a modern office space, we make sure the only thing left behind is a stunning piece of art.

How long does the painting session last?

We are totally flexible! A typical live painting session lasts between 2 and 4 hours, which usually covers the peak of most events. However, for larger festivals or multi-day brand activations, we can arrange for longer sessions or multiple artists. We work around your schedule to ensure the 'big reveal' happens exactly when you want it to, maximizing the impact for your guests.

What happens to the artwork after the event ends?

The final artwork is yours to keep! After the event, once the paint is fully dry, you can display it in your office, auction it off for charity, or give it away as a grand prize. If the painting was done on a temporary structure or wall we provided, we can discuss options for dismantling and transporting it to your chosen location. It’s a lasting memory of a great night.

Is the performance safe for indoor crowds?

Safety is our top priority. Our artists are fully insured and follow strict safety protocols. We provide all necessary safety gear if anyone gets close to the action, and we use high-quality materials that meet safety standards. Our team is experienced in working in crowded event environments, so you can relax knowing that the performance is being handled by seasoned professionals who value both creativity and safety.

How far in advance should I book for a Limerick event?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend events or busy seasons like Christmas. Ideally, get in touch 4-8 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and artist. However, we have a deep bench of talented backup artists, so if you have a last-minute request, give us a shout! We always do our best to accommodate 'emergency' art needs whenever possible.
