Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely not! Our Limerick workshops are designed for everyone from total beginners to seasoned doodlers. Our pro artists will walk you through the basics, from how to hold the spray can to layering colours. You'll be amazed at how quickly you pick up the techniques and create something you're genuinely proud of. It's all about having a laugh and trying something new!

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to get creative. This includes high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective overalls, gloves, and masks. We also provide the canvases or surfaces you'll be painting on. Just bring your enthusiasm and maybe some old shoes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on!

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

Safety is our top priority while we're having fun. We provide P2-rated respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. Our instructors give a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone knows how to use the equipment responsibly. We usually host sessions in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces around Limerick.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard public art session in Limerick typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for introductions, a demonstration of techniques, sketching out your ideas, and the main event: the spray painting! If you have a specific timeframe in mind for a group booking, let us know and we can usually tailor the session to fit.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Limerick weather can be a bit 'grand' one minute and 'shite' the next! If it’s just a light drizzle, we often have gazebos or sheltered spots ready to go. If the weather is looking properly wild, we’ll work with you to find a suitable indoor alternative or reschedule the session. We always have a backup plan to ensure your creative flow isn't ruined by the rain.

Can I book a private workshop for a large group?

We love hosting groups! Our workshops are perfect for birthday parties, hens and stags, or just a big group of mates looking for something different to do in Limerick. Prices usually get better the more people you bring along. For larger groups, we bring in extra artists to make sure everyone gets enough 1-on-1 guidance and 'can-time'.

Where in Limerick do the workshops take place?

Limerick has some brilliant legal street art spots, and we often work in these designated areas or on private boards we set up specifically for your session. We are big fans of the local street art scene and always ensure our workshops are conducted legally and respectfully. We'll show you where you can express yourself without getting into any bother!

Step by step

Welcome and intro: Meet your local artist at the designated Limerick spot and get the lowdown on the day's plan.
Safety first: Suit up in your protective gear and learn the essential 'dos and don'ts' of using spray paint safely.
The technique demo: Watch a pro artist demonstrate basic strokes, from 'fat' lines to fine details and fades.
Concept sketching: Grab a marker and jot down your ideas on paper or directly onto your canvas to plan your masterpiece.
First layers: Start popping those cans! You'll begin by filling in the larger areas of your design with base colours.
Refining details: Use different nozzles (caps) to add outlines, highlights, and those little details that make the art pop.
Expert feedback: Our artists circle the group, offering tips and tricks to help you level up your technique mid-session.
The big reveal: Step back and admire your handiwork, take some photos for the 'gram, and share your creation with the group.
