Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior drawing or painting skills are needed. Our Limerick artists are experts at breaking down complex street art techniques into simple, manageable steps. We start with the basics of spray can control and safety before moving on to creating actual masterpieces. It is all about building confidence, exploring creativity, and having a brilliant time with new friends in a supportive environment.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for children and teens?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our workshops use low-pressure spray cans that are easier for youth to control, and all sessions are led by professional artists who are experienced in managing groups safely. We ensure the workspace is well-ventilated and that all safety protocols are followed strictly throughout the summer camp session.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable, older clothes and sturdy shoes (no sandals). While we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, graffiti art can sometimes get a bit messy, and paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes! It’s best to wear things you don't mind getting a little 'artistic' on. We'll take care of the rest of the gear!

How long does a typical summer camp session last?

Standard summer camp sessions in Limerick typically run between 2 to 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the history of street art, practice their techniques on our practice walls, and then work together on a final large-scale project. We can also adapt the timing to fit into a full-day camp schedule if you need a specific duration for your program.

How much does a graffiti summer camp session cost?

Our pricing is flexible and usually ranges from €30 to €60 per person. Total costs depend on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the specific materials required for your chosen project. We are committed to transparency, so there are no hidden fees. Contact us for a precise quote tailored to your specific group size in Limerick.

What materials are included in the package?

We provide everything needed for a world-class street art experience! This includes a wide variety of professional spray paint colours, caps (nozzles), protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the surfaces to paint on, such as large canvases or movable boards. You just bring the energy and the ideas, and we provide the tools to bring them to life!

Can the workshops take place indoors if it rains?

Limerick weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got it covered. We can host workshops at various indoor locations across the city or use sheltered outdoor spaces. If you have a specific venue in mind, we can check its suitability. Our goal is to ensure the creative fun continues, rain or shine, so we always have a backup plan ready to go.

Step by step

Intro and safety brief: We kick things off with a warm welcome and a quick chat about safety, gear, and how to handle the spray cans properly. ✨
Street art history: A short, fun look at how graffiti evolved from subway tags to world-famous gallery art.
The tag creator: Using our digital tools or sketchbooks, students design their own unique "tag" or artist signature.
Can control practice: Time to get hands-on! We teach participants how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth fills. 🎨
Sketching the mural: The group works together to sketch out a large-scale design based on a chosen theme for the camp.
The "Fill-in": Everyone grabs their cans to add vibrant colours and gradients to the main piece of art.
Outlining and highlights: Our pros show the kids how to add those "3D" effects and sharp outlines that make the art pop. 🚀
Group photo and cleanup: We celebrate the finished masterpiece with photos before tidying up our creative zone.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Limerick has a fantastic relationship with street art, which makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti summer camp. From the incredible murals of the Limerick City of Culture legacy to the vibrant pieces tucked away in the Milk Market area and Thomas Street, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging young locals to see their city through a creative lens.

Fun Fact: Did you know Limerick is home to some of Ireland's largest legal street art walls? The city frequently hosts international artists, making it a true hub for urban creativity in the Mid-West! 🇮🇪

By bringing our workshops to Limerick, we aim to inspire the next generation of Treaty City creatives, following in the footsteps of the local legends who have transformed the city's urban landscape into a colourful destination.
