Is the graffiti workshop safe for children?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective ponchos for every child. Our professional artists are experienced in working with kids and ensure the spray cans are used correctly and safely. We also use low-odour professional paints whenever possible to ensure a comfortable and secure creative environment for the whole birthday squad.

What is the minimum age for a graffiti party?

We generally recommend our Leeds birthday workshops for children aged 6 and up. At this age, they usually have the hand strength to operate the spray cans and the attention span to follow the creative instructions. For younger groups, we simplify our techniques to focus more on big colours and fun shapes, ensuring everyone feels like a street art superstar by the end of the party!

Do we come to your studio or do you come to us?

The choice is yours! We can host the party at one of our partner creative spaces in Leeds city centre, or we can bring the entire 'pop-up' studio to your garden or a local community hall. If we come to you, we take care of all the floor and wall protection to ensure the only thing that gets painted is the intended canvas.

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

Don't worry about the British weather! If you've booked an outdoor session and rain is forecast, we have several backup options. We can move the party to an indoor venue, use large gazebos for cover, or switch to our indoor-friendly canvases. We also have a network of backup artists to ensure your party goes ahead no matter what.

What should the kids wear to the graffiti party?

Comfort is key! We recommend that children wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of 'artistic' splatter on. While we provide full protective gear including ponchos and gloves, graffiti is a messy business and stray paint can sometimes find its way onto sleeves or trainers. Think 'old clothes and comfy vibe'!

How long does the workshop last?

A standard Leeds birthday workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives the kids enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their tags, and complete their final masterpiece. If you have a larger group or want a more in-depth experience, we can easily extend the duration to suit your party schedule.

Do parents need to supervise the kids?

While the kids are busy being the next Banksy, parents are welcome to relax, take photos, or even join in the fun! We handle all the technical instruction and supervision, so you can sit back and watch the creativity unfold. Most parents find it's a great opportunity to get some amazing action shots for the birthday album.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your child's big day? Because it's more than just a party—it's an experience they'll talk about for months. Here is why Leeds parents love us: 🔥

Total creative freedom: No "staying inside the lines" here—we encourage kids to find their own style!
Pro artist mentors: Learn from real graffiti artists who are passionate about sharing their craft. 🎤
Unique party bags: The kids don't just leave with sweets; they take home their own custom-painted canvas. 🏆
Stress-free for parents: We handle the setup, the teaching, and the cleanup. You just enjoy the vibes.
Alternative & cool: Perfect for that "hard to please" age group that's outgrown traditional party games.
Weatherproof fun: With indoor venues and backup artists, the party goes on no matter the Leeds drizzle!

Step by step

The safety briefing: We kick things off by getting everyone into their protective gear and explaining how to use the equipment safely.
Introduction to cans: Our pro artists show the kids how to hold the spray cans and control the pressure for different effects.
Tagging practice: Every child gets to design their own unique 'tag' or street name on a practice surface.
Sketching the masterpiece: We move on to the main boards or canvases, sketching out the big birthday design.
Colour filling: The fun part! Kids learn how to fill in large areas with vibrant colours and smooth gradients.
Outlining & details: We teach them how to add sharp outlines and 'highlights' to make their artwork pop.
The final reveal: We step back to admire the collective mural or individual canvases created by the group.
Photo session: We take group photos with the artwork—perfect for those legendary birthday memories!
Clean up & takeaway: We pack up the gear, and if individual canvases were made, the kids get to take their art home.
