Is the spray paint safe for children and guests?

Absolutely! We prioritize safety above all else. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our water-based spray paints are low-odor and eco-friendly, making them much safer than traditional hardware store cans. Plus, our professional Calgary artists are experts at managing groups of children to ensure everyone stays safe while having a blast expressing their creativity.

Where in Calgary can the workshop take place?

We are highly flexible! We can host the workshop at your own backyard in Calgary, a local park (with permits), or one of our partner studio spaces. If you have a specific venue in mind for the communion reception, just let us know. We bring all the necessary protective floor coverings and pop-up tents to ensure the area stays clean and the fun stays contained!

How long does the graffiti session typically last?

A standard communion graffiti workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance: enough time to learn the techniques and complete a masterpiece, but short enough to keep the energy high and fit perfectly between the meal and other party celebrations. We can also customize the timing to suit your specific event schedule.

Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our Calgary-based street artists are fantastic teachers who break down the process into easy, manageable steps. From holding the can to creating cool 3D effects, we guide every guest—from the tech-savvy cousins to the proud grandparents—to create something they can truly be proud of by the end of the session.

What happens to the artwork after the party?

The birthday boy or girl (or the child celebrating their communion) gets to keep their large masterpiece! For the guests, we often work on individual canvases or a large communal mural. If you choose the canvas option, every guest gets to take home their own piece of authentic Calgary street art as the ultimate party favor. It is a much cooler souvenir than a bag of candy!

How far in advance should we book for a communion party?

We recommend booking at least 4 to 8 weeks in advance, especially during the busy spring communion season in Calgary. However, we have a large team of backup artists and a flexible schedule, so even if you are planning a last-minute celebration, give us a shout! We always do our best to squeeze you in and make the magic happen for your special day.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Calgary’s street art scene has exploded in recent years, thanks to initiatives like the BUMP (Beltline Urban Murals Project). We bring that local Cowtown creativity to your backyard or venue. Whether you are inspired by the mountainous horizons or the urban vibes of 17th Ave, our artists help you channel that Calgary energy into your art. 🏙️

Fun Fact: Did you know Calgary is home to some of the tallest murals in Canada? We might not be painting a 10-story building at your party, but we’ll certainly make your guests feel ten feet tall! 🎨
