Is the graffiti workshop safe for children?

Absolutely! We take safety very seriously. We use high-quality spray paint and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks, gloves, and aprons. Our professional instructors are experienced in working with children and ensure everyone follows safety guidelines while having a total blast. Plus, we often host sessions outdoors or in well-ventilated Calgary spaces to keep things fresh and airy.

What is the minimum age for a Calgary graffiti party?

Ideally, kids should be at least 6 to 7 years old to handle the spray cans comfortably. However, we can tailor the experience for younger siblings with paint markers or simpler techniques. Our artists are pros at engaging different age groups, ensuring that whether they are 8 or 14, every guest feels like a true street art pro by the end of the party.

Do we come to your studio or do you come to us?

We are totally flexible! We can host the party at various cool locations across Calgary, from community centers to outdoor parks (weather permitting). If you have a backyard or a garage with good ventilation, we can even bring the party to you! We provide all the protective coverings to ensure the only thing getting painted is the canvas or the designated wall space.

How long does the graffiti birthday workshop last?

A standard Calgary birthday workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives the kids enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their 'tags', and complete their main masterpiece. If you have a larger group or want a more in-depth session, we can easily extend the duration to fit your party schedule.

Do I need to pay a deposit upfront?

No way! One of the best things about Graffitifun is that we don't require any upfront payment. You can book your Calgary event with peace of mind, knowing that you only pay after the workshop is complete and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. We believe our service speaks for itself, and we want your booking process to be stress-free.

What should the kids wear to the party?

Casual and comfortable is the way to go! While we provide aprons and gloves, graffiti can occasionally get a little messy. We recommend that the kids wear clothes they don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on—think old t-shirts and sneakers. It's all part of the authentic street art experience here in the Stampede City!

Local culture

Calgary has a burgeoning street art scene that goes way beyond the Stampede. From the iconic murals in the Beltline to the hidden gems in Sunnyside, our city embraces creativity. By choosing a graffiti party, your kids get to connect with this local urban culture in a safe and guided environment. We love incorporating that Cowtown spirit into our sessions—maybe spraying some flames or bold western-inspired colors!

Fun Fact: Calgary is home to the BUMP (Beltline Urban Murals Project) festival, which has transformed the city into a world-class outdoor gallery. Our artists are inspired by these massive local works and bring that same professional energy to your child's birthday! 🏙️
